La multiplicité des locuteurs, des audiences et des formes de discours sur la stratégie présente deux écueils qui sont discutés dans la seconde partie : celui de la perte de sens (les parties prenantes ne comprennent plus la stratégie) et celui de la perte de cohérence (les discours ne forment plus un contexte cohérent pour l’action). Ces réflexions nous amènent à proposer une forme d’éthique des discours stratégiques.

Book excerpt: [Résumé en français]La recherche se situe dans le champ du management stratégique de la communication d'entreprise et des sciences du langage. Elle appréhende la dimension stratégique et managériale du discours des dirigeants des grandes entreprises françaises. La démarche privilégiée, de type empirico-inductive, utilise les techniques d'analyse de contenu et d'analyse lexicométrique sur un échantillon de 500 messages de présidents issus des rapports annuels d'entreprises de 4 périodes d'observation (1976, 1983, 1987, 1991). La première partie se place au niveau des concepts afin d'identifier les catégories qui fondent une pensée stratégique, la diffusion et le champ du discours d'entreprise puis ses fonctions informatives et persuasives (de rationalisation, d'animation, de confiance, d'identité, de légitimité...). La seconde partie justifie la méthodologie en s'appuyant sur les rapports d'une diversité d'études et de méthodes. L'étude des messages appréhende dans une troisième partie leurs conditions de production et leur contenu explicite et implicite (discours performatif, normatif et magique). L'évolution sur longue période du langage managérial est analysée à travers 12 dimensions structurant le thesaurus élaboré (la stratégie, le contexte, les acteurs,...), la diversité des représentations véhiculées et la rhétoorique mise en oeuvre. Une quatrième partie apprécie la contingence du discours dasn sa vocation stratégique. Le contenu lexical et la structure thématique des messages mettent en évidence les préoccupations majeures, la cohérence de leur construction et leur pathologie. L'utilisation des techniques d'analyse de données révèle l'opposition entre diverses logiques d'expression (factuelle vs managériale par ex.). Leurs combinaisons caractérisent enfin, d'une part, une typologie des formes du langage managérial (ou stratégies d'expression) et, d'autre part, une typologie des présidents. Ces résultats sont appréciés au regard de caractéristiques de profil des entreprises.

Elle se propose d'identifier les déterminants d'incohérence entre le discours et l'action stratégiques ainsi que les conditions de son apparition. En suivant une logique abductive, cette recherche s'est fondée, en premier lieu, sur l'analyse de 54 discours publiés dans le rapport d'activité pendant la période 1993-2000. Le contenu révélé a été, en second lieu, comparé aux différentes actions stratégiques réalisées par les entreprises pendant la même période. Les résultats obtenus des analyses textuelles ont été, par la suite, complétés par des entretiens. L'analyse intra-corpus et inter-corpus ainsi que les investigations menées ont permis de mettre en évidence d'autres éléments susceptibles d'expliquer l'incohérence entre le discours et l'action stratégiques. Ainsi, hormis les facteurs cognitifs et environnementaux évoqués dans la littérature, il apparaît que d'autres facteurs, voulus et contextuels, peuvent également engendrer des distorsions. Aussi, ce travail a t-il permis de montrer d'une part, le caractère volontaire de l'incohérence entre le discours et l'action et d'autre part, l'existence de stratégies de communication permettant de réduire ou d'élargir cette incohérence.

Embargo, tutelle et occupation continus par des forces étrangères, élimination des Haïtiens, spoliation et sabotage du patrimoine national, tout concourt au retour à la barbarie (l'esclavage) par l'exploitation de notre sol et de nos massives mines Le péril n'est pas seulement contre Haïti! La construction d'un leadership national capable et humaniste s'impose.
