So ist im Lauf der Zeit die vorliegende Schrift entstanden, in der ich mich auf einen, so viel ich weiss, noch nicht betretenen Weg begebe und mit Hilfe der aegyptischen Mythologie Licht zu brin gen versuche in ein Gebiet, das immer noch eine völlige terra incognita ist. Möchte dieser Versuch nicht vergeblich sein und möchte von dem Interesse, das heute Babel so einseitig für sich in Anspruch nimmt, nun auch Aegypten sein Teil werden.
