Er kann durch beliebig viele Beispiele ergänzt werden. So schrieb etwa Schiller über diese Kritik, dass sie ihn durch ihren „neuen, lichtvollen, geistreichen Inhalt hinriߓ und in ihm das „größte Verlangen“ weckte „mich [Schiller, Anm. d. Verf.] nach und nach in seine [Kant, Anm. d. Verf.] Philosophie hineinzuarbeiten“.2 Doch auch Kants Gegner wurden von dessen dritter Kritik tief geprägt, was exemplarisch an Herder deutlich wird, der von „d[er] toten Form ohne Inhalt, d[en] Empfindung[en] ohne Begriffe, d[er] Zweckmäßigkeit ohne Zweck, d[er] Überschätzung des Genies und andere[m] mehr“3 wetterte. Allerdings erschöpft sich der 'Wert' der „Kritik der Urteilskraft“ nicht in Kants Theorie der Ästhetik und es würde wohl zu kurz greifen, dieses Werk schlichtweg als den Beitrag des Königsberger Denkers zur „Geschmacksdebatte“ des 18 Jahrhunderts ansehen zu wollen. So vermutete Hannah Arendt in Kants dritter Kritik gar eine verborgene politische Philosophie, welche sie auf Grund ihres frühen Todes jedoch nicht mehr extrahieren konnte.4 Andererseits rechnen einige „Fachphilosophen, sogar [...] manche Kant-Forscher [die dritte Kritik] nicht (mehr) zur Pflichtlektüre“ und das, obwohl „eine immense Forschungsliteratur [...] seitens der Kant- und Idealismusforscher als auch der Literaturwissenschaftler [und] Biologen“ existiert.5 Hieraus wird offenbar, dass Kants Werk nicht nur für eine Vielzahl von Wissenschaften allgemein von Interesse ist, sondern auch, dass die Meinungen über Inhalt und Sinn weit auseinandergehen. Exemplarisch sei hierfür der renommierte Historiker Jonathan I. Israel angeführt, der Kant - in seiner Trilogie über die Aufklärung - zwischen die beiden gegensätzlichen Pole der „moderaten“ und „radikalen“ Aufklärer positionierte und dabei der „Kritik der Urteilskraft“ eine Schlüsselrolle zuwies: „This, his third Kritik, sprang directly from the Pantheismusstreit and includes a lengthy discussion of Spinoza, and from a Kantian (but by no means from a general) perspective
