Book excerpt: The Sanskrit Alphabet consists of Vowels, Semivowels, Nasals, Row class Consonants, Sibilants, Aspirate, and the Ayogavahas, new unseen sounds that result only during Talking and Chanting. In Speech what comes naturally is called Sandhi. As one speaks fluently, there is a merging of sounds of some of the Adjacent Words. A slight change in spelling is noticed accordingly while Speaking, the same when Written down is called Sandhi. Reading aloud an Avagraha and Visarga properly is what makes the language beautiful and lends power and grace to both the Speaker and the Listener. This book covers all major Sandhis, namely Svarana Dirgha, Guna, Vriddhi, Yan, Ayav, Jashtvam, Chartvam, Visarga, Anusvara, and many specific Sandhis used only during word-formation from the Roots. It explicitly mentions the correct Ashtadhyayi Sutra of Panini and lucidly explains the background process. A chapter on Vedic Sandhis covers the sounds known as Ayogavahas in some detail. A useful and complete book for the novice, the amateur or the Scholar.

Book excerpt: Many youngsters are gleefully taking to Sanskrit thanks to Samskrita Bharati and Vyoma Linguistic Labs. And certainly to the Art of Living Satsangs that are increasingly becoming popular with college students. When we began using our favorite Dhatupatha Sutras Enumerated book, many readers wished an English transliterated version, since they were not familiar with Devanagari. This is a most encouraging wish, and well, finally you hold the book that beckons bright CBSE Board and other students too to consider opting for Sanskrit at the academic level. This contains the Roots of 10 conjugational groups having Dhatu Serial Number DSN from 1 to 1943. Sanskrit was the lingua franca for many a millennia and the vast Vedic literature might unpredictably hold the key to efficient, sustainable, eco-friendly resource management and cutting edge invention. The Dhatupatha is Panini’s library of Sounds that serves as input to the Ashtadhyayi program. Its intelligent, concise and exemplary coding is regarded in awe by the foremost programmers of today and has stood its ground over 2500 years. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bhakti is a very special attitude. It is a rare kind of lifestyle. It requires tremendous guts, large-heartedness and purity of vision. Narada was an adventurer from long ago, who exemplified the qualities of a Bhakta. We have heard the famous quote – Beauty lies in the eyes of the Beholder. This is what Narada lived. To him each and every one was divine, so he extended his hand to the cruelest sinner and to the most benevolent king. He went out of his way to have a dialogue with serpents and goblins - braving harsh mountains and rough weathers - demons and despots, commoners, officers, soldiers, saints and children. Narada exuded such warmth and caring, he brought such innocence and spontaneity in his wake, that he not only infused his surroundings with vitality, but also imparted a measure of grace. This is the story of the values he lived, that an ancient sage penned down. It has come down to us as priceless nuggets evoking awe and inspiration. It has the charm of taking us on a journey to freedom. For the students of Sanskrit grammar, copious notes giving the case of each word have been clearly listed.

Even though most of us have heard it and commonly use the word MAYA, we do not really know what it is and thus overcoming it is out of the question. This book attempts to throw light on this subtle reality in carefully chosen words that are easily understood, and perhaps point a way for the serious seeker who is struggling to escape its clutches. What is Maya??? 1. It is neither Truth 2. Nor is it unTruth 3. And it is neither both Ponder...ponder…ponder… Let us read between the lines to arrive at: 1. Maya is not Truth – replace Truth with its synonym Existence. This sentence becomes Maya <> Truth Maya <> Existence

This book was released on 2021-01-15 with total page 108 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Sanskrit Alphabet consists of 56 Letters. There are Vowels, Semivowels, Row Class Consonants, Sibilants and the Aspirate. The Alphabet is called अक्षरम् in Sanskrit. Each letter is clearly enunciated with correct movement of the Tongue. Nasals lend a distinct twang and the Vedic chants are a delight to hear because of Accented Vowels. Reading an Avagraha, Ayogavaha, Visarga and Anusvara is properly explained as all the letters of the Alphabet are laid out threadbare. A section on Unicodes and Typesetting in Devanagari with fonts and keyboard IME supporting Vedic Extensions adds relevant value. While reading Vedic Texts, we notice some letters, characters and symbols that are in addition to the standard Sanskrit Alphabet. These characters are the accent marks, sandhi symbols, additional letters and punctuation, that are found in Vedic Sanskrit. There are various samhita recensions of the Veda manuscripts available today, and they differ in the usage of accents and symbols, and also in the enunciation while chanting aloud. Each ashram and gurukul and pundit or scholar needs to be aware of the tone and pitch during recitation and chanting of the Vedas. Even university professors and researchers delving into the Vedas need to be aware of the correct meaning and application of these verses. Furthermore, as we move from offset printing and metal type setting to the computer and smartphone era, this book serves as an invaluable resource. This book builds upon our popular title "The Sanskrit Alphabet". Infused with manuscript passages from the Satapatha Brahmana, Vajasaneyi Madhyandina Samhita, Samaveda and Krishna Yajurveda to illustrate Vedic Symbols. A useful and complete book for the novice, the amateur or the Scholar.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many years ago, circa 600 BCE, a scientific treatise was written. The Grammar of the Sanskrit Language was crisply described by Panini. Sutras that were like code and a sort of computer program covered the entire Vykarana in less than 4000 statements. In the beginning of the code was an amazing tool-kit consisting of 14 lines, that came to be known as the Maheshwar Sutras. Just as we have advanced chemical equations or mathematical formulae, so are these Maheshwar Sutras, also called the Shiva Sutras. These Sutras are a special rearrangement of the Sanskrit Alphabet to cluster letters having some definite quality that can be used in WORD construction. There are two primary objectives achieved a) to define Arrays-of-Equivalence-of-Letters, and b) to introduce the concept of Meta Tags. Sound is an attribute of SPACE and the science behind sounds that construe the Alphabet is what it is all about. Certainly for the Scholar or a Pundit, an absolute treat.
