Le premier est de comprendre comment les apprenants francophones du chinois expriment les relations spatiales (déplacements dans l'espace) lorsqu'ils s'acquittent d'une tâche verbale complexe. La procédure utilisée est l'analyse d'un corpus oral comprenant des productions d'apprenants avancés (chinois langue étrangère) et de locuteurs adultes natifs du chinois et du français (chinois et français langue maternelle, corpus témoins) réalisée aux niveaux phrastiques, conceptuel et discursif. Le discours produit est un récit de fiction basé sur un support en images intitulé "Frog, where are you?". Pour atteindre cet objectif, il nous faut tout d'abord identifier les moyens linguistiques disponibles en chinois et en français, puis étudier et comparer la façon dont les locuteurs sinophones et francophones mettent effectivement en oeuvre ces moyens disponibles dans leur langue maternelle pour résoudre cette tâche verbale complexe de récit de fiction. Le deuxième objectif est d'appliquer les résultats de ces analyses à la didactique du chinois langue étrangère. Les moyens linguistiques exprimant les déplacements seront présentés sous un angle différent de ce qu'il est donné de rencontrer dans les manuels ou grammaires de langue. D'autres part, les difficultés identifiées chez les apprenants serviront de base à la création d'activités et de supports iconographiques ciblés sur les déplacements

En d'autres termes, notre intérêt portera essentiellement sur le problème des temps du passé auxquels ces apprenants se heurtent. Nous pouvons donc les considérer comme problèmes majeurs dans cet enseignement/apprentissage. En nous appuyant sur l'analyse d'erreurs de temps dans la production écrite chez les étudiants chinois, nous avons cherché à décrire des facteurs qui sont en rapport soit direct, soit indirect avec les erreurs commises, en vue de formuler quelques propositions didactiques susceptibles d'apporter une certaine amélioration à l'enseignement et à l'apprentissage des temps du passé en Chine.

Book excerpt: By modeling pedagogical scenarios as directed geometrical graphs and proposing an associated modeling language, this book describes how rich learning activities, often designed for small classes, can be scaled up for use with thousands of participants. With the vertices of these graphs representing learning activities and the edges capturing the pedagogical relationship between activities, individual, team, and class-wide activities are integrated into a consistent whole. The workflow mechanisms modeled in the graphs enable the construction of scenarios that are richer than those currently implemented in MOOCs. The cognitive states of learners in two consecutive activities feed a transition matrix, which encapsulates the probability of succeeding in the second activity, based on success in the former. This transition matrix is summarized by a numerical value, which is used as the weight of the edge. This pedagogical framework is connected to stochastic models, with the goal of making learning analytics more appealing for data scientists. However, the proposed modeling language is not only useful in learning technologies, it also allows researchers in learning sciences to formally describe the structure of any lesson, from an elementary school lesson with 20 students to an online course with 20,000 participants.

The Government originally announced proposals for modernising the London Underground network system via Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreements in 1998. Three contracts were drawn up with: (i) Tube Lines for the maintenance and renewal of the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Northern Lines; (ii) with Metronet Rail BVC for the maintenance and renewal of the Bakerloo, Central, Victoria & Waterloo & City Lines; (iii) with Metronet Rail SSL, responsible for the maintenance and renewal of the "sub-surface lines": the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan & East London Lines. These PPP Agreements, 30 years in duration, were arrangements to maintain, renew and upgrade parts of London Underground by private sector infrastructure companies (Infracos), whilst London Underground is responsible for services to customers. The PPP Agreements also set out a performance-related incentive and penalty scheme to remunerate the Infracos for the improvements they make to the network. In May 2007, Metronet admitted an overspend of £1 billion and was refused access to loan facilities by the banks. It then made a reference to the PPP Arbiter, which in turn triggered an Extraordinary Review (which occurs when extra costs are incurred above the level allowed for the bid). Metronet put in a bid for £551m but the PPP Arbiter provisionally concluded that a sum of £121m was appropriate. Metronet subsequently went into administration on 18 July 2007. The report sets out a number of conclusions and recommendations, including: contracts that were supposed to deliver 35 station upgrades, in fact delivered only 14, 40% of the requirement; stations that were supposed to cost Metronet SSL £2m, cost £7.5m, with only 65% of schedule track renewal accomplished; the Committee criticises the consequences of the imposition of PPP on Transport for London, as a "lamentable state of affairs", with the future of most of London Underground's upgrade and maintenance work in doubt; the Committee states, that the Government should remember the failure of Metronet before it considers entering similar arrangements; that the Government should publish a candid analysis of the events preceding Metronet's collapse and its consequences; the Committee believe that the PPP model was flawed and probably inferior to traditional public-sector management; that the Government needs to prioritise transparency and clarity to taxpayers and ensure that any future contracts result in clear accountability.
