Las ponencias se centran fundamentalmente en las distintas concepciones del derecho de daños y de la justicia correctiva que Jules L. Coleman defendió a lo largo de su trayectoria académica. El lector encontrará en el contenido de estos trabajos una amplia gama de interpretaciones, expuestas con rigor analítico, sobre la mejor manera de comprender la práctica de la reparación de daños. La teoría del derecho y la filosofía moral y política parecen darse cita en el ámbito de la responsabilidad extracontractual, campo en el cual los filósofos han sostenido con plausibilidad posiciones muy dispares que van desde concebir la práctica como una cuestión de justicia social, hasta ver en ella una instancia clara de moral interpersonal.
