In der Neuauflage ist das Buch zwar etwas umfangreicher geworden, aber nach wie vor kompakt geschrieben. Es ist rechtlich fundiert und zugleich praxisbezogen, ohne den zahlreichen Kontroversen auszuweichen, die sich auf dem Gebiete des Werkvertragsrechts stellen. Ein detailliertes Inhaltsverzeichnis, zahlreiche Querverweise im Text und ein ausführliches Sachregister erleichtern die Übersicht und den Zugang zu den jeweils gefragten Stellen. Der Aufbau des Buches und seine Randnummern folgen weitgehend der letzten Auflage, damit es den Benützern der vierten Auflage leichter fällt, sich in der Neuauflage zurechtzufinden.
