Both positive and negative muon decays were recorded by the apparatus. These raw counts were converted to a rate curve that measured the total decay rate in counts/ microsecond. A least square analysis was applied to the rate equation. The results of this analysis showed that the percentage of negative muons that decay in the chlorine was 93 plus or minus 8%. This result is in excellent agreement with the ''Z Law'' which predicted that 92% of the negative muons decay in chlorine. (Author).
