In this amazingly insightful book by medium/clairvoyant Lisa Williams, evidence of the afterlife is explored. Through various channels such as meditation, psychic readings, communication with her Spirit Guide, and a personal near-death experience, Lisa delves into the journey of the soul, discusses the different stages of the afterlife, and reveals what life is really like on the other side. Survival of the Soul addresses the myriad questions many of us have surrounding this subject, especially if we’ve gone through the painful experience of having lost loved ones. Lisa provides a reassuring glimpse into this fascinating topic by exploring the pathway to the afterlife and then to reincarnation; with the realization that death is not final, but rather a transition into the world beyond —a place that should be honored, not feared.

Book excerpt: Each of us is in the middle of a story. In this astoundingly unique book, bestselling author N.D. Wilson reminds us that to truly live we must recognize that we are dying. Cause of death: life. Death by Living is a poetic exploration of faith, futility, and the incredible joy of this mortal life. N.D. Wilson recounts stories from his life in poetic prose, giving perspective on the life we're given by God. Death by Living explores the topics of family, grappling with the death of loved ones, and how to live with intention to get the most out of our time on Earth. Wilson encourages us to live hard and die grateful, and to see Christ in every pair of eyes. To write a past we won’t regret. All of us must pause and breathe. See the past, see life as the fruit of providence and thousands of personal narratives. We did not choose where to set our feet in time, but we choose where to set them next. We stand in the now. God says create. Live. Choose. Shape the past. Etch your life in stone, and what you make will be forever. In Death by Living, you will: Experience life with renewed wonder Recognize mundane moments as opportunities Learn to live hard and die grateful Recognize death as a gift instead of something to be feared At once inspiring, humorous, and unbelievably moving, this a book that you will read again and again, finding fresh perspective each time you open it.

Book excerpt: The fact that we will die, and that our death can come at any time, pervades the entirety of our living. There are many ways to think about and deal with death. Among those ways, however, a good number of them are attempts to escape its grip. In this book, Todd May seeks to confront death in its power. He considers the possibility that our mortal deaths are the end of us, and asks what this might mean for our living. What lessons can we draw from our mortality? And how might we live as creatures who die, and who know we are going to die? In answering these questions, May brings together two divergent perspectives on death. The first holds that death is not an evil, or at least that immortality would be far worse than dying. The second holds that death is indeed an evil, and that there is no escaping that fact. May shows that if we are to live with death, we need to hold these two perspectives together. Their convergence yields both a beauty and a tragedy to our living that are inextricably entwined.Drawing on the thoughts of many philosophers and writers - ancient and modern - as well as his own experience, May puts forward a particular view of how we might think about and, more importantly, live our lives in view of the inescapability of our dying. In the end, he argues, it is precisely the contingency of our lives that must be grasped and which must be folded into the hours or years that remain to each of us, so that we can live each moment as though it were at once a link to an uncertain future and yet perhaps the only link we have left.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a book about life after death as provided to me through journaling and a series of extraordinary events by my wife, Suzette Delashmet Shockley, after her demise. When these events started to happen, I, having not known or even though about life after someone has passed was in disbelief. I researched and kept an open mind. Because of these happenings and my research, I now know that when a person loses a good friend, a spouse, a child, or other loving relationship, the deceased person can come through. The stronger the love vibrations, the easier and the stronger the connection between them will be. In shock and deep despair over the death of his beloved wife, Suzette Delashmet Shockley-Barcafer, Ward Barcafer struggled to live his life. But to his surprise, he began hearing Sue’s voice coming through to him from her life in Heaven! ... (Paula Lenz) This profound inner play from the light of love gives insight to the presence of heaven on earth and the continual expression of earth connection to what is called Heaven. The depth and breadth of their love is known as a harmonic love. ... (Dr. Patty Luckenbach) For those of a skeptical nature, the proof of life after death is undeniable. For those who are grieving, the intimacy and teachings are comforting. For those who are curious, these are remarkable stories. ... (Marcia Beachy) In this intimate journal of his experiences with Suzette and his spirit guides, Ward walks us through spirit to spirit connection and communication that has no barriers separating the earthly and ethereal realms. Suzette selflessly shares with us, through Ward, what life is like for a soul in Heaven ... (Dr. Ruth Anderson)

Book excerpt: The first book to validate the meaningful dreams and visions that bring comfort as death nears. Christopher Kerr is a hospice doctor. All of his patients die. Yet he has cared for thousands of patients who, in the face of death, speak of love and grace. Beyond the physical realities of dying are unseen processes that are remarkably life-affirming. These include dreams that are unlike any regular dream. Described as "more real than real," these end-of-life experiences resurrect past relationships, meaningful events and themes of love and forgiveness; they restore life's meaning and mark the transition from distress to comfort and acceptance. Drawing on interviews with over 1,400 patients and more than a decade of quantified data, Dr. Kerr reveals that pre-death dreams and visions are extraordinary occurrences that humanize the dying process. He shares how his patients' stories point to death as not solely about the end of life, but as the final chapter of humanity's transcendence. Kerr's book also illuminates the benefits of these phenomena for the bereaved, who find solace in seeing their loved ones pass with a sense of calm closure. Beautifully written, with astonishing real-life characters and stories, this book is at its heart a celebration of our power to reclaim the dying process as a deeply meaningful one. Death Is But a Dream is an important contribution to our understanding of medicine's and humanity's greatest mystery.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is reality? Is there an "absolute" reality, or is reality merely relative "in nature?" If Isaac Newton were alive today, could Newton make claim to reality as he did gravity, space, and time, or has Einsteinium thought overruled Newtonian thoughts on reality as well as our thoughts on gravity, space, and time? Many make claim reality is nothing more than their personal interpretation of the world, but just about everyone interprets the world differently. Are there really a multitude of realities? Many of us, men and women alike, perceive and then define the world as it best fits their desire of what they wish the world to be. Most people only see and hear what they want to see and hear; they almost never agree as to the objective truth of things as they really are; they almost never agree as to what is reality. This book is not a scientific study objectively testing reality. The thoughts I put forth herein are merely my attempt at objectively postulating what I believe to be an "absolute" reality pertaining to sometimes-specific and sometimes-general situations in life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I wanted to center around the five stages of death and dying, but did not want to just stay there. To better explain, I feel these stages as they have been presented really only touch on the emotional aspects of these stages. I believe you not only have the emotional, but physical and also spiritual. We have all these interacting with each other whether you are dying in the physical, experience dying of a characteristic or even experience death as you deal with the pending loss and loss of a loved one. God can surely fill the loss, heal the hurts, or give a life replacement to those things that have died. I have experienced a loss of parents, relatives, friends, and a brother. It has been several years since my brother has died. There is healing there and acceptance, but still a grief and sadness still. God could assuredly heal the pain I am going through and has for the most part. I asked God to even remove some more of the grief too, but his response was that if he did that he would have to remove the memories. Memories bring back the grief, but also reinforce the joy of the life I had lived with. So, In that instance or example, I would not want this to be removed.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The question of what happens after death has fascinated human beings for as long as we’ve had any sense of spirituality. There have been popular books, stories of speculative fiction, reports of visions, and serious Bible studies attempted to explain to us what happens at death and beyond. In Death, Immortality, and Resurrection, Dr. Edward Vick explores this question from the viewpoint of a philosopher and theologian. In this book, he examines scriptural sources along with a variety of philosophers over the millennia, and looks at such questions as what happens to the body, what we mean be identity and survival, whether we are innately immortal, and what is the meaning of resurrection. This is a serious work, but comprehensible to the student willing to take the time to study these issues. The reader is invited to give consideration to those issues that have challenged philosophers and scholars through the ages. The book is suitable for study groups.
