Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: According to countless mainstream news organs, Elijah Muhammad, by far, was the most powerful black man in America. Known more for the students he produced, like Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan and Muhammad Ali, this controversial man exposed the black man as well as the world to a teaching, till now, was only used behind closed doors of high degree Masons and Shriners. An easy and smart read. The book approaches the question of what and who is God. It compares the concept held by religions to nature and mathematics. It also explores the origin of the original man, mankind, devil, heaven and hell. Its title, Message To The Blackman, is directed to the American Blacks specifically, but addresses blacks universally as well.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The patriarchal structure of the Nation of Islam (NOI) promised black women the prospect of finding a provider and a protector among the organization's men, who were fiercely committed to these masculine roles. Black women's experience in the NOI, however, has largely remained on the periphery of scholarship. Here, Ula Taylor documents their struggle to escape the devaluation of black womanhood while also clinging to the empowering promises of patriarchy. Taylor shows how, despite being relegated to a lifestyle that did not encourage working outside of the home, NOI women found freedom in being able to bypass the degrading experiences connected to labor performed largely by working-class black women and in raising and educating their children in racially affirming environments. Telling the stories of women like Clara Poole (wife of Elijah Muhammad) and Burnsteen Sharrieff (secretary to W. D. Fard, founder of the Allah Temple of Islam), Taylor offers a compelling narrative that explains how their decision to join a homegrown, male-controlled Islamic movement was a complicated act of self-preservation and self-love in Jim Crow America.

It wasn't uncommon to either hear him on radio broadcasts or one of his ministers. Having been prohibited to speak by Allah up to this point, this represented a significant occasion. Elijah Muhammad covered a wide and comprehensive overview of his entire program, concepts and lessons. This is by far the most wide ranging example of his teaching. Many of the subjects he taught was scattered over the entire period, which is why in this direct transcribed version is made available; thus leaving the subjects in the exact order the Messenger taught them. There is also a subject-Indexed version, which grouped the subjects together instead of leaving them scattered (see ISBN 1884855628). Both are complete!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Born in Boston of immigrant parents, Thomas A. Judge, CM (1868-1933) preached up and down the east coast on the Vincentian mission band between 1903 and 1915. Disturbed by the “leakage” of the immigrant poor from the church, he enlisted and organized lay women he met on the missions to work for the “preservation of the faith,” his watchword. His work grew apace with, and in some ways anticipated, the growing body of papal teaching on the lay apostolate. When he became superior of the godforsaken Vincentian Alabama mission in 1915, he invited the lay apostles to come south to help. “This is the layman’s hour,” he wrote in 1919. By then, however, many of his lay apostles had evolved in the direction of vowed communal life. This pioneer of the lay apostle founded two religious communities, one of women and one of men. With the indispensable help of his co-founder, Mother Boniface Keasey, he spent the last decade of his life trying to gain canonical approval for these groups, organizing them, and helping them learn “to train the work-a-day man and woman into an apostle, to cause each to be alert to the interests of the Church, to be the Church.” The roaring twenties saw the work expanded beyond the Alabama missions as far as Puerto Rico, which Judge viewed as a gateway to Latin America. The Great Depression ended this expansive mood and time and put agonizing pressure on Judge, his disciples, and their work. In 1932, the year before Judge’s death, the apostolic delegate, upon being appraised of Judge’s financial straits, described his work as “the only organized movement of its kind in the Church today that so completely meets the wishes of the Holy Father with reference to the Lay Apostolate.”

Book excerpt: "Besides Jesus, no one has kept me from despair, or taken me deeper into the mysteries of the gospel, than the apostle Paul." —John Piper No one has had a greater impact on the world for eternal good than the apostle Paul—except Jesus himself. For John Piper, this impact is very personal. He does not just admire and trust Paul. He loves him. Piper gives us thirty glimpses into why his heart and mind respond this way. Can a Christian-killer really endure 195 lashes from a heart of love? Can a mystic who thinks he was caught up into heaven be a model of lucid rationality? Can an ethnocentric Jew write the most beautiful call to reconciliation? Can a person who lives with the unceasing anguish of empathy be always rejoicing? Can a man's description of the horrors of human sin be exceeded by his delight in human splendor? Can a man with a backbone of steel be as tender as a nursing mother? If we know this man—if we see what Piper sees—we too will love him. Paul's testimony is a matter of life and death. Piper invites you into his relationship with Paul in the hope that you will know life, forever.

Book excerpt: This book and my research is about uncovering the many, many injustices of the American government and the American people against black people over the last five hundred years in America. I will show and also prove the absolute diabolism being applied throughout history against the masses of black people to keep us in a submissive role in this American society. Through history, I have assembled undisputed facts of this American conspiracy to destroy black people as America present their version of black people. As black people aEUR" not African Americans, but black people aEUR" we have the right to be our own selves. We have the right to choose for ourselves. We have a right to reject the lies and atrocities that America tells and have committedaEUR"and are still committing. We have the right to have the true history, not this distorted American history. It is our right to be free of everything America does; we have nothing to gain. I'm telling the truth that the majority of civilization is trying to hide but can no longer hide. Read, everyone, this is the absolute truth.

Also, history proves beyond a shadow of doubt of many elements and people that has been working against black people. The drugs, the violence ,against each other. The dis-respect by themselves and society have demonstrated to our black women. The destruction of the black families here in America. The self-hatred that is being demonstrated amongst and against ourselves, wives, and children. How religions and politics have failed us and the so-called leaders, have failed our people. To understand what is happening in these trying times and how we should be working collectively together, in order to survive this Pandemic and future Pandemics that we may encounter. This book covers even more, and I suggest every reader enjoy this book because there is great information that is not being revealed to humanity. So, everyone sit back and enjoy yourself.
