Book Synopsis Dear Diary: What My Doctor Never Told Me About Liposuction by : Kathyne L. Jackson
Download or read book Dear Diary: What My Doctor Never Told Me About Liposuction written by Kathyne L. Jackson and published by Author House. This book was released on 2003-06-20 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Writing this book has been a very essential part of my recovery. Except for my son, doctor, and finally, my Mom, there was no one I had chosen to confide in. Putting my own experiences down on paper gave me a chance to not only relive the experience and face the uncertainties, but to understand my motivation for doing it. Writing this book was an emotional lifeline for me and its been a wonderful outlet. Also, where else could I have expressed the joy of going from a size 22 to 16 in two months? Since no one knew I had the surgery, this book was the one place whereI could shout. This book was also written with others in mind. There may be those who felt as I did. Theyve secretly dreamed of undergoing the procedure because they were just as unhappy with certain aspects of their bodies as I was. Theyve squirreled away some money in the hopes that one day they might also take the next step. There are also those who have taken that step. I hope my words help someone else whos alone with their thoughts and pain as Ive been, give them a much needed mental hug, and let them know that someone else had undergone what they are considering or are now enduring. At those times, when I was most vulnerable, I kept telling myself that there would be people reading my words and saying to themselves, "This is normal. Kathyne went through this too, so I wont worry." Am I am glad I did it? Would I do it again?
Book Synopsis ILSE (Part 1,2, and 3) by : Eva Van Baar

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Like all kids her age, Ilse van Elewijk tries her best to survive the jungle of her teenage years, although sometimes it doesn’t matter how much she tries, she can’t seem to fit in some places. Then, one day, she accidentally finds an old box containing some papers and diaries, all belonging to Alice Scholten, a girl her age, who happened to live in the house many years before her. By reading Alice’s old diaries, Ilse immediately understands that something deep links her to the unknown Alice as they seem to share a “sixth sense” as well as other things that, so far, Ilse tagged as simple “oddities”. This discovery comforts Ilse and makes her so bold as to go searching for Alice, now an old lady. From the moment they met, nothing will be the same for Ilse, as thanks to Alice, she finds she is a psychic, a useful gift but that needs to be understood first; something that requires both motivation and a deep knowledge of her own strength… Eva Van Baar is the pseudonym of the acclaimed author of "Alter Ego," "Nothing Outside You," and "There's a Message for You". In 2015, she was nominated for the Nobel Prize for her book “Ilse”. For her stories, Eva Van Baar gets inspiration from her everyday life. She's been writing for a long time, the act of writing has been with her since her kids were little, and she used to record everything to keep track of the events. She decided to write 'Ilse', because there was little in the field of esotericism for young people. She currently lives surrounded by the love of her family and her cats, Noefje and Akila.

Nadia Guerra’s mother, Albis Torres, left when Nadia was just ten years old. Growing up, the proponents of revolution promised a better future. Leaving Cuba offers her the chance to find her long lost mother and her real father. But as she embarks on a journey east, Nadia soon begins to question everything she thought she knew and understood about her past. As Nadia discovers more about her family, her fate becomes entwined with that of Celia Sanchez, an icon of the Cuban Revolution—a resistance fighter, ingenious spy, and the rumored lover of Fidel Castro. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has designated the topic of real-time data capture as an important and innovative research area. As such, the NCI sponsored a national meeting of distinguished research scientists to discuss the state of the science in this emerging and burgeoning field. This book reflects the findings of the conference and discusses the state of the science of real-time data capture and its application to health and cancer research. It provides a conceptual framework for minute-by-minute data capture- ecological momentary assessments (EMA)- and discusses health-related topics where these assessements have been applied. In addition, future directions in real-time data capture assessment, interventions, methodology, and technology are discussed. Despite the rapidly growing interest in the methodology of real-time data capture (e.g. journal special issues, widely attended conference presentations, etc.), to date no single book has focused solely on this topic. The volume will serve as an important resource for researchers, students, and government scientists interested in pursuing real-time health research, and will nicely complement our lists in epidemiology, public health, and oncology.
