Japan’s double World and Olympic Champion, Keiji Suzuki, regarded De-ashi-barai as the starting point to his judo, and used it against every type of opponent. De-ashi-barai was his way of assessing an opponent’s strengths, weaknesses and exactly how they were balanced.
