Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Evolutionists have long known that Charles Darwin's original argument against his own theory - that a lack of fossil evidence of transitional forms would reduce him to an embarrassing footnote in history - was screamingly true. No legitimate fossil evidence exists that shows one species changing into another. This startling realization led Luther Sunderland to an exhaustive search of the subject, and his findings show clearly that evolution is a theory in disarray. From his own interviews with leading evolutionists, and an examination of the fossil evidence, Sunderland shows that the Enigma of Darwin's anti-God philosophy is that the facts show it is anything but rock-solid. Before is death in 1987, Luther Sunderland had garnered the respect of creationists worldwide for his investigative writing of the evolution controversy. After obtaining an engineering degree from Penn State University, Sunderland spent 30 years developing automatic flight control systems for the General Electric Company. DARWIN'S ENIGMA remains on intensely popular work on the theory of origins.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Alfred Wallace the co-discoverer of Natural Selection wrote: "Man's Naked Skin could not have been produced by Natural Selection. It seems to me, then, to be absolutely certain, that 'Natural Selection' could not have produced man's hairless body by the accumulation of variations from a hairy ancestor. The evidence all goes to show that such variations could not have been useful, but must, on the contrary, have been to some extent hurtful." Darwin and Wallace argued about the issue of human hairless for a number of years but in the end Darwin conceded that Wallace had been right. Darwin wrote in his book "The Descent of Man" published in 1871 an acknowledgement to Wallace's arguments. "The loss of hair is an inconvenience and probably an injury to man, even in a hot climate, for he is thus exposed to the scorching of the sun, and to sudden chills, especially during wet weather. As Mr. Wallace remarks, the natives in all countries are glad to protect their naked backs and shoulders with some slight covering. No one supposes that the nakedness of the skin is any direct advantage to man; his body therefore cannot have been divested of hair through natural selection. Nor, as shown in a former chapter, have we any evidence that this can be due to the direct action of climate, or that it is the result of correlated development." This issue of human hairlessness skin was to become a riddle that Darwin would never resolve. It is true that he did submit another theory which he called sexual selection which he believed resolved the problem, but the theory was not accepted in his day as a solution, and it has since been discredited as a result of a series of rigorous science testing in recent years. No other evolutionist since has been able to resolve Darwin's Enigma, although it has not been for the want of trying. It is the objective of this book to take an honest look at all the theories proposed by Darwin and those who followed him to see if there is indeed a solution through a naturalist mechanism that could account for the anomaly of man's almost hairless condition. But if there is no solution that can be found, then we will have to face one unavoidable conclusion. Man did not evolve from a hairy ape-like ancestor as is claimed by evolutionists but had in fact been created naked and hairless through the activities of Intelligent agency. Isn't that what the book of Genesis said?

Book excerpt: Darwinian evolution is taught unreservedly to students of science around the world as incontrovertible truth even though many aspects of the theory have been thoroughly discredited while others are woefully lacking in corroboration from a standpoint of proper scientific precept and practice. Practical and honest scientists increasingly are acknowledging that evolutionism is biologically and mathematically impossible. The outlandish premise is at odds with the laws of physics and manifestly incompatible with genuine geological and paleontological criteria for aging and classifying rocks, strata and fossils. Evolutionary theory's ostracism of God as a supreme designer and creator of the universe and of life has emboldened many of history's most ruthless dictators who have embraced its disturbing message to commit crimes of unspeakable evil. Many millions of people have lost their lives as demagogues, fueled by evolutionist inclinations, have sought to legitimize sinister proclivities such as racism, bigotry, eugenics and ethnic cleansing, among other perpetrations of antipathy and wickedness. It is not unreasonable to assume that many of today's social and behavioral thinkers, as well as misguided scientists who support evolutionary theory, also nurture predilections that are far removed from wholesome deportment and espouse leanings that show scant respect for the sanctity of human life. Evolutionary thought falls outside the precincts of essential moral contemplation.and is beyond the realm of real science!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For people confused by the contradictory messages they hear from secular science and church teaching, evolution can be intimidating. The truth is that Darwin's ideas are based upon faulty science, and that creationists have solid evidence to support their claims. Finally, a brilliant defense of Genesis and the Bible's teaching about origins is waiting for those who are soon to understand how Darwinism is fraudulent faith masquerading as science. Authors Joe White and Nicholas Comninellis have a passion for truth, and for sharing it with students and their parents. In Darwin's Demise, they succeed in showing why real science is burning down the House of Darwin.

Book excerpt: This unique book offers a comprehensive and integrated introduction to the five fundamental elements of life and society: energy, information, feedback, adaptation, and self-organization. It is divided into two parts. Part I is concerned with energy (definition, history, energy types, energy sources, environmental impact); thermodynamics (laws, entropy definitions, energy, branches of thermodynamics, entropy interpretations, arrow of time); information (communication and transmission, modulation–demodulation, coding–decoding, information theory, information technology, information science, information systems); feedback control (history, classical methodologies, modern methodologies); adaptation (definition, mechanisms, measurement, complex adaptive systems, complexity, emergence); and self-organization (definitions/opinions, self-organized criticality, cybernetics, self-organization in complex adaptive systems, examples in nature). In turn, Part II studies the roles, impacts, and applications of the five above-mentioned elements in life and society, namely energy (biochemical energy pathways, energy flows through food chains, evolution of energy resources, energy and economy); information (information in biology, biocomputation, information technology in office automation, power generation/distribution, manufacturing, business, transportation), feedback (temperature, water, sugar and hydrogen ion regulation, autocatalysis, biological modeling, control of hard/technological and soft/managerial systems), adaptation and self-organization (ecosystems, climate change, stock market, knowledge management, man-made self-organized controllers, traffic lights control).

Book excerpt: Most people at one time or another have probably been curious to know, "What could account for all of those strange objects in the sky that many credible witnesses see?" Or, what about the modern mystery of alien abductions and stories of visitations by beings claiming to be from other planets or star systems? Are aliens really making contact with human beings? Is it important anyway? At last, an easy-to-understand book traces the history of this strange phenomenon utilizing the research of many of the "heavyweights" of UFOlogy -- and it's been making sense to a lot of people. This is a book for everyone. The author's research and conclusions will surprise you and challenge your thinking, not just about UFOs, but about the nature of life itself. This is a landmark volume that brings together the most important evidences, coming to conclusions far more sinister -- yet profound -- than most could imagine. - Publisher.

Book excerpt: In our post-Christian, pluralistic society, responding to the perception that Christians are prejudiced, anti-intellectual, and bigoted has become a greater challenge than ever before. The result is often intimidation, withdrawal, and even doubts among God's people about what we really believe. Bestselling author and teaching pastor at Living on the Edge, Chip Ingram, wants to change that. In Why I Believe, he gives compelling answers to questions about - the resurrection of Christ - the evidence of an afterlife -the accuracy and intellectual feasibility of the Bible - the debate between creation and evolution - the historicity of Jesus - and more The solid, biblical, logical answers he shares will satisfy the honest doubts that every believer experiences now and then, and will provide practical, thoughtful answers that can be shared with family and friends. This is the perfect resource for churches, small groups, and individuals who long not only to really know what and why they believe, but also to be equipped to explain the intellectual justification for their faith in everyday language.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Religion evokes strong emotions and raises hard questions. This volume addresses many of the contentious elements that religion provokes and challenges some of the easy answers contemporary society has produced. The frequent and often facile dictum about the separation of church and state, when examined closely, may prove to contribute to the erosion of some of our most cherished human values, rather than to their preservation. The science-versus-religion dichotomy is dogma for many, yet the empiricism that is the hallmark of scientific method and knowledge can be singularly absent from positions that claim to be science. The current spate of attacks against God and religion that are now commonplace, when critically scrutinized, often fail to provide compelling arguments or even to be as objective as their authors claim. These and other explorations are the focus of this book. From the Forward in which Charles Kimball challenges the West to re-evaluate its perspective and understanding of the East, particularly Islam, to the Afterword in which theologian Gregory Baum chronicles the extraordinary reversal of sociology’s estimation of religion, the invitation from this volume to all of us is to review our pieties and presuppositions as we reflect on the future of religion.

It is wise to know what they said. “It’s a fascinating story, a story you really must know for yourself.” History is strewn with wars and scrapping over religion. With the advent of the global village, people of different beliefs are being pressed up against each other, and the potential for major conflict is enormous. It behooves us to know what our neighbours believe and why they believe it. Though we may never agree with them, when we know what people believe, at the very least, we can intelligently disagree without being disagreeable. All that the Prophets have Spoken is about the most widely distributed and most vehemently disputed book in history—the Bible. If you are one of those who seriously wants to understand the message of the Prophets, then this book is for you.

Discover what the world would have been like without Jesus, and how some of the world’s greatest accomplishments exist only because he lived. We live in a cynical age in which only one prejudice is tolerated: anti-Christian bigotry. Yet despite the near constant and attacks against the faith, one powerful truth is undeniable: if Christ had never been born, nearly every aspect of human life would be much more miserable than it is today. In What if Jesus Had Never Been Born?, discover: Christianity’s impact on the value of human life, helping the poor, and education Christianity’s impact on world history and the founding of America Christianity’s contribution to civil liberties, science, medicine, and economics Lives changed by Jesus Christ The author also examines what happens in a world without Christianity, as well as fulfilling the purpose of believers as we move forward. Arranged topically and presenting compelling, little-known historical facts, What If Jesus Had Never Been Born? clearly demonstrates that an enormous benefits to humankind—from economics to art to government, science to civil liberties, morality to health, and beyond—would never have occurred had Jesus Christ not lived.
