Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do the two utterances say the same thing? Think about it and all the other differences in bibles alleged to be the Bible. Should such issues generate any doubts in Christians about the verity of the God for whom they sacrifice their real life for a fairy tale one? Do they forego the myriad of errors in whatever Bible they use? If they do, can they be sure that the God they serve as mere sycophants actually exists and is deserving of their praise? Christians need to develop concrete evidence for their convictions. They do not know a single fact about their god. The only thing that mere faith and belief prove is a persons failure to use his/her intellect. Case in point: for any conscious human to believe that a virgin child can birth is evidence that that person is mentally challenged (a euphemism for stupid). Read on.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through Scripture and spoken word, Jesus continues to attract millions of followers today. In many ways, those who seek Christ now differ little from those whose stories we learn in the Gospels: Peter, Nicodemus, Mary, the Samaritan leper, even Judas. Professor Simon J. Kistemaker has spent his professional life studying the words and actions of those who spent time with Jesus. In The Conversations of Jesus he offers a glimpse into the lives of those who were touched by encounters with Jesus Christ. Readers will find much in common with these first-century people, including their feelings of inadequacy, confusion, and joy at meeting the Savior. Ideal for laypersons and pastors, The Conversations of Jesus helps readers strengthen their walks with Christ as they learn about others who have walked this path before.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This books contains the most advanced teachings of Jesus, channeled by Pablo in Hawaii in the nineties. It calls us to live constantly in the presence of Christ. This is a call to awakening, unique and pristine. In contrary to the "Conversations with God" which are based on the false assumption that God created duality in order to recreate himself, these teachings of Jesus consist of the simple truth that our father calls us home constantly. "Now, Pablo, as I indicated a little bit earlier today, all of the elements necessary for you to make the shift have already been brought into play over the past nine years. When you have been Listening and Hearing, what you have "heard" is the experience of Knowing. This has not been a gift from me to you, because I am not present as a separated presence to give you anything. It is time for you to understand clearly that you, as some inconsequential little twirp, have not been the recipient of a beneficent gift which therefore has had nothing to do with you. Rather, it has been a direct experience of your Self. As I have said, this "sidekick," this imaginary partner, called "Bumbling Pablo," is losing strength. Its seeming actuality is fading. Because of this there is a more strenuous effort arising to find out where you fit in, and who you are. As I also said, you cannot afford to pursue that quest...ion. You have been in the picture all along. The thinking which the fantasy partner or false sense of self has engaged in will be replaced with the Knowing which has been constituted of the direct experience of your Self. When it has seemed as though you were talking with me and drawing upon the infinite Knowing, you have been connected to You, and it has constituted the substance of You, even though as long as you were identifying with the fantasy sense of yourself it has seemed as though you were not connected with yourself and who you were was becoming less and less significant. Literally, graduation, here, is going to involve forsaking thinking, and Listening always. When you feel inclined to think, stop, and desire to Know. It is also important not to give too much attention to this apparent "questioner." The expression of desire to Know doesn't truly postulate the presence of a questioner, and this is a very important point to understand. The experience of the desire to Know is simply the means of giving permission to Know."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These conversations happened in the 80 ́s between Pablo and Jesus. The content is very direct and surpasses many concepts we may have from the Bible or even the Course in Miracles. Jesus calls Pablo and all of us to align with him and the Father in each given moment. He calls this the connection with the home beacon. Therefore he provided a doable way to follow him and to awake from the dream of space/time in this lifetime. "Now, Pablo, as I indicated a little bit earlier today, all of the elements necessary for you to make the shift have already been brought into play over the past nine years. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did you know you can read Jesus's Sermon on the Mount in about 18 minutes? Yet packed into this short talk are more life-changing and startlingly original teachings than anywhere else in Scripture. In it, Jesus dives past the surface into the heart of what we need and desire--from God, ourselves, and one another. It's the spiritual straight talk we need about the things that matter most in life. Drawing from decades of study, Dr. Robert Jeffress breaks down Jesus's most well-known (yet least-followed) teachings about happiness, faith, relationships, sex, reconciliation, prayer, money, and more. He shows how we often misunderstand and misapply these verses and unpacks exactly what Jesus was teaching us about our own hearts and minds. If you long to take your Christian walk to the next level, it's time to grasp these biblical truths that have the power to change your life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the resurrection is the keystone dogma of Christian belief, and Sunday churchgoers rarely if ever think to question it, scholarly research shows with the utmost clarity that from a historical standpoint Jesus was not raised from the dead. In fact, it is almost universally recognized among scholars of New Testament textual criticism that the gospel narratives describing the resurrection appearances are not reliable eyewitness accounts, but expressions of faith written by the first Christian believers long after the death of Jesus. In this thorough exegesis of the primary texts dealing with the resurrection of Jesus, New Testament expert Gerd Lüdemann (University of Göttingen) presents compelling evidence that shows the resurrection was not a historical event and further argues that this development leaves little, if any, basis for Christian faith as presently defined.Beginning with Paul's testimony in 1 Cor. 15: 3-8, in which the apostle declares that Jesus has been raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, Lüdemann systematically evaluates every reference to Jesus' resurrection in the New Testament, as well as apocryphal literature. He examines the purpose of the text writers, the ways in which they reworked tradition, and the historical value of each account. Through this approach, he offers a reconstruction of the probable course of events as well as the circumstances surrounding Jesus' death on the cross, the burial of his body, his reported resurrection on the third day, and subsequent appearances to various disciples.Since the historical evidence leads to the firm conclusion that Jesus' body was not raised from the dead, Lüdemann argues that the origin of the Easter faith must be sought in the visionary experiences of Christianity's two leading apostles. From a modern perspective this leads to the inescapable conclusion that both primary witnesses to Jesus' resurrection, Peter and Paul, were victims of self-deception.In conclusion, he asks whether in light of the nonhistoricity of Jesus' resurrection, thinking people today can legitimately and in good conscience still call themselves Christians.Gerd Lüdemann is a professor of the history and literature of early Christianity at the University of Göttingen, Germany. Professor Lüdemann's published conclusions about Christianity aroused great controversy in his native Germany, where the Confederation of Protestant Churches in Lower Saxony demanded his immediate dismissal from the theological faculty of his university. Despite this threat to his academic freedom, he has retained his post at the university, although the chair he holds was renamed to disassociate him from the training program of German pastors. Lüdemann is also the author of Jesus After 2000 Years, Paul: The Founder of Christianity, and The Resurrection of Christ: A Historical Inquiry.
