Ces éléments utilisent une formulation nouvelle et sont spécialement adaptés aux besoins de l'ingénieur. Des tests en statique et dynamique montrent leur précision numérique. Pour l'interaction sol/structure des approches différentes, nécessitant plus ou moins de développement, sont proposées. Dans l'approche implantée dans Gefdyn, l'interaction entre structures composées de poutres et plaques et le sol est traité au niveau local de l'interface, prenant en compte des effets de frottement et de décollement. La performance des développements a été vérifiée dans des applications numériques, par comparaison soit aux solutions analytiques, soit aux calculs d'un mur de soutènement par l'Eurocode 8. Afin d'améliorer la communication entre l'utilisateur et le code Gefdyn une interface graphique a été développée qui permet de définir rapidement les paramètres de calcul. Cet interface gère les erreurs d'utilisation et met à disposition des outils de préparation des données et d'évaluation des résultats
