Book excerpt: Les instabilités de combustion sont essentiellement dues à une interaction entre des ondes acoustiques non linéaires, des structures cohérentes et la combustion. Des calculs de modes acoustiques mettent en évidence les influences des hétérogénéités de température et de la géométrie. Dans un milieu non réactif, l'interaction des structures cohérentes, émises par un obstacle, et un mode acoustique peut conduire à un mécanisme de résonance. Une simulation numérique, réalisée à l'aide d'une adaptation du programme KIVA (Los Alamos), confirme en partie les résultats expérimentaux. L'interaction entre une flamme de diffusion et un tourbillon à noyau visqueux, étudié numériquement, donne des résultats en bon accord avec la littérature. Les calculs sont étendus à une flamme prémélangée et l'émission acoustique est évaluée analytiquement. Une simulation numérique de la combustion instationnaire sur un foyer de l'E.C.P., effectuée à l'aide du programme KIVA, montre la présence de structures cohérentes et que la flamme est plissée. L'étude de l'influence des réactions radicalaires sur les instabilités de combustion représente la principale perspective de ce travail
