Book excerpt: Les méthodes de synthèse modale (sous-structuration dynamique) sont très utilisées pour l'analyse de grandes structures. L'un des problèmes posé par les méthodes classiques est que l'on conserve tous les d.d.l. de jonction entre les sous-structures pour réaliser l'assemblage, ce qui augmente considérablement la taille du modèle condensé. Nous proposons une méthode de réduction de ces d.d.l. Cette méthode exploite les modes de l'interface. Une des principales hypothèses faites dans l'utilisation de ces méthodes est que le modèle est déterministe, c'est-à-dire que les paramètres utilisés dans le modèle ont une valeur définie et invariante. Par ailleurs, dans un processus de conception globale, la connaissance su domaine de variation des réponses d'une structure dues aux incertitudes qui découle de tolérances de fabrications, des conditions aux limites ou des excitations est essentielle. Pour cela, nous faisons l'extension des méthodes de sous-structuration de l'analyse stochastique des systèmes dynamiques. On distingue dans cette étude le cas de paramètres aléatoires à loi de probabilité connue ou le cas de variables dont l'information sur les dispersions est limitée, les modèles d'incertitude "info-gap" sont bien adaptés à ce type de problème. Pour cela, dans la première partie, on s'applique à décrire les réponses dynamiques, aussi bien les modes propres que la réponse transitoire et la fonction de réponse en fréquence, de structures comportant des paramètres modélisés par des variables aléatoires. Pour ce faire, nous utilisons la simulation de Monte-Carlo, la méthode de perturbation et la méthode de projection sur un chaos polynomial. Dans la seconde partie, nous décrivons une approche liée à la modélisation de l'incertitude par les modèles "info-gap". Cette méthode est basée sur la fonction robustesse. Elle évalue le niveau maximal d'incertitude qui peut être toléré tout en satisfaisant aux critères de performance donnés.

Les aléas associés aux systèmes technologiques de raccordement des sous-structures exigent une approche statistique, ce qui augmente la taille et la complexité du problème. Les grandes interfaces posent problème similaire dans l'application des méthodes classiques de synthèse modale. Même réduit, par les méthodes classiques, le système d'équations correspondant à la structure assemblée exige encore des temps et des efforts de calcul prohibitifs. Pour surmonter ces obstacles, nous proposons une méthode innovante de double synthèse modale, utilisant des modes de branche particuliers. Ces modes, très représentatifs de la dynamique de l'interface de raccordement, conduisent à des résultats comparables à ceux des méthodes classiques, mais avec un coût de calcul très réduit. Cette méthode sera étendue aux structures possédant des propriétés aléatoires aux interfaces en utilisant l'approche par perturbations. Pour ces interfaces, nous utilisons des sous-structures supplémentaires de liaison, fictives, qui rassemblent les paramètres aléatoires de modélisation des systèmes de raccordement indépendamment des sous-structures principales. Des tests numériques valident et comparent la méthode proposée aux méthodes classiques. Puis, des exemples font l'extension de la méthode aux structures aléatoires. Ces derniers montrent les avantages de l'utilisation de la sous-structuration pour traiter des structures stochastiques. Enfin, la méthode est appliquée à un exemple industriel, silencieux d'automobile, doté d'une grande interface avec rigidité aléatoire.

Book excerpt: Les méthodes de modifications structurales en dynamique ont aujourd'hui un champ d'application encore trop réduit pour envisager avec succès un passage dans le domaine industriel. On se propose ici d'apporter des améliorations de deux ordres. Elles concernent particulièrement l'utilisation de la méthode de réanalyse modale par partition des matrices de modification. Dans un premier temps, il est défini le concept nouveau de réanalyse modale des structures enrichies. De telles structures sont des modèles comportant après modification plus de degrés de liberté qu'initialement. Il est montre qu'un tel problème nécessite la définition d'un système pseudo-initial dont la taille est compatible avec un traitement standard aux modifications structurales. La construction de ce système n'est pas unique, et une méthode exacte est ici proposée. La seconde amélioration proposée concerne la réduction des temps de calcul, par une interprétation judicieuse du concept de taille de base critique. Il est ainsi montre que les techniques de synthèse modale peuvent être associées a la réanalyse modale dans le but d'obtenir rapidement des résultats précis. Des résultats numériques illustrent la justesse des deux améliorations proposées.

L'utilisation d'une famille de modes de branche autorise l'identification des modèles modaux à partir de tests vibratoires simples. Un contrôle optimal des caractéristiques de frontière a abouti à la définition de modèles très efficaces malgré le faible nombre de degrés de liberté utilisés. Les lois de comportement des matériaux et des interfaces sont présentées de façon à faire ressortir les hypothèses simplificatrices permettant d'étendre les méthodes de synthèse modale aux structures visco-élastiques et non-linéaires. En particulier on justifie l'utilisation des modes complexes et non-linéaires. Ces derniers sont rattachés à la transformation normale et leur stabilité est étudiée à l'aide de la transformation de Poincaré. Plusieurs méthodes d'identification des modèles à partir d'essais dynamiques sont exposés. De nouvelles procédures expérimentales et numériques sont proposées dans le cas de forts amortissements et de non-linéarités localisées aux interfaces. Tout au long de cette étude de nombreux résultats numériques et expérimentaux sont utilisés pour illustrer les divers développements et pour vérifier l'efficacité des diverses méthodes de synthèse modale.

Pour cela, nous etablissons, a l'aide du theoreme statique d'adaptation, une nouvelle approche pour l'etude des structures elastoplastiques endommageables, sous sollicitations mecaniques et thermiques variables. L'effet de l'ecrouissage cinematique lineaire est pris en compte dans cette approche, par l'utilisation du concept du materiau standard generalise. Les phenomenes d'endommagement et d'ecrouissage cinematique sont traduits par des variables internes cachees au sens de la thermodynamique des processus irreversibles, qui fournit les equations d'evolution correspondantes, couplees aux lois de comportement. Cette approche emploie les modeles d'endommagement plastique ductile de lemaitre et shichun-hua, qui dependent de la norme de deformations plastiques, grandeur toujours croissante. En effet, l'accumulation illimitee de ces deformations conduit a l'apparition et a l'amorcage des fissures macroscopiques, qui se propagent jusqu'a la rupture complete de la structure. Par consequent, l'adaptation exige qu'en tout point de la structure le travail dissipe reste borne, pour un trajet de charges prevu. L'approche proposee, repose sur la methode des elements finis statiquement admissibles et sur la methode de programmation mathematique. Cette derniere consiste a determiner le facteur de charges garantissant l'adaptation de la structure vis-a-vis de l'effondrement par deformations plastiques accumulees, en imposant que le parametre d'endommagement reste inferieur a son seuil critique. Avec un temps de traitement considerablement reduit et un minimum d'informations sur l'histoire du chargement, cette etude appliquee aux coques de revolution axisymetriques, conduit a des resultats conformes a ceux obtenus par une methode incrementale.
