La seconde approche, dite active, permet de compenser l'effet des défauts et d'assurer la stabilité et les performances désirées du système. Le document présenté est constitué de 4 chapitres : Le premier chapitre du manuscrit de thèse contient une introduction, traitant les notions mathématiques de base et de stabilités des systèmes d'ordre fractionnaire ainsi qu'une présentation des différentes définitions. Les conditions de stabilités de ces systèmes et quelques exemples de systèmes modélisés par des équations différentielles fractionnaires sont présentés. Dans le deuxième chapitre, nous nous sommes intéressés à la conception de plusieurs types d'observateurs dits d'ordre réduit, d'ordre plein et des observateurs fonctionnels pour les systèmes d'ordre fractionnaire avec et sans retards. Dans le cas où il n'y a pas de retards dans la dynamique du système, des observateurs d'ordres plein et réduit ont été synthétisé afin d'assurer l'estimation des pseudo-états. Dans un deuxième temps, un observateur fonctionnel a été synthétisé dans le cas où le retard est présent dans la dynamique du système. Dans le chapitre 3, nous avons travaillé sur la synthèse d'observateur pour les systèmes d'ordre fractionnaire incertains. Nos contributions sont classées en trois grandes lignes : premièrement, quand le système considéré est affecté par des entrées inconnues, un observateur fonctionnel a été proposé. En deuxième partie, des observateurs H∞ pour les systèmes d'ordre fractionnaire avec et sans retards ont été synthétisés afin d'assurer la stabilité de l'erreur d'observation. Il s'agit en fait de garantir une borne du gain L2 entre l'erreur d'observation et les perturbations non mesurables affectant la dynamique du système : ce gain L2 est aussi appelé norme H∞. Ce chapitre présente aussi la synthèse d'un observateur robuste vis-à-vis des incertitudes de modélisation pour cette classe de systèmes. Les conditions suffisantes de convergence des erreurs d'estimations des pseudo-états obtenues sont établies sous la forme d'un ensemble d'inégalités matricielles LMIs. Le dernier chapitre du manuscrit est consacré à la commande basée sur les différents observateurs obtenus. Nous nous sommes intéressés à la commande basée sur un observateur pour les systèmes d'ordre fractionnaire. Cette commande est basée sur les observateurs proposés dans les chapitres précédents. Des conditions de stabilité et des procédures de synthèse sont présentées.

Trois méthodes ont été proposées et différentes classe de systèmes ont été traitées. La première est la méthode de transformation en système LPV basée sur l’utilisation du théorème des accroissements finis (DMVT). Cette technique, qui fournit des conditions de synthèse non restrictives, est étendue à plusieurs classes de systèmes non linéaires tels que les systèmes non différentiables, les systèmes à sorties non linéaires, les systèmes à entrées inconnues, les systèmes à retard et les systèmes à temps discret. La seule limitation liée à la méthode est le fait qu’elle n’est applicable que pour des non-linéarités à jacobiennes bornées. Afin de sourmonter cette limitation, une deuxième méthode est obtenue en combinant la technique du DMVT avec une nouvelle structure d’observateurs de type Luenberger généralisés. Grâce à cette structure, de nouvelle conditions de synthèse sont établies. Ces conditions sont valables même si la jacobienne de la non-linéarité n’est pas bornée. Par ailleurs, une nouvelle méthode de synthèse d’observateurs spécifique aux systèmes à temps discret est également proposée. Cette méthode utilise la condition de Lipschitz conjointement avec la fonction de Lyapunov standard. Des améliorations, qui permettent d’obtenir des conditions de synthèse non contraignantes, sont ensuite proposées en faisant appel à une nouvelle fonction de Lyapunov plus générale (qui tient compte de la non-linéarité du système) et à un observateur de Luenberger généralisé (OLG) qui permet de réduire l’effet de la constante de Lipschitz. Enfin, les résultats obtenus sont validés par une application à la synchronisation et au cryptage/décryptage dans les systèmes de communications chaotiques.

Le premier chapitre présente le contexte et des bases théoriques de l'étude. Le deuxième chapitre traite du problème théorique de la stabilité et de la stabilisation exponentielles des systèmes linéaires à retard variable. L'étude concerne donc non seulement la convergence mais caractérise aussi sa rapidité. Le troisième chapitre généralise ces résultats à des systèmes ne se réduisant pas à des équations linéaires stationnaires. En particulier, on considère deux problèmes pratiques : l'incertitude provenant de variation de paramètres et la saturation de commande. Dans le quatrième chapitre, on procède à l'étude des systèmes continus à commande échantillonnée. L'approche par retard variable proposée permet d'utiliser des techniques de "temps continu''. Le cinquième chapitre concerne l'observation des systèmes à retard. Nous présentons des résultats concernant le cas, fréquent dans la littérature, de retard connu mais aussi de retard inconnu, plus délicat. Le dernier chapitre présente quelques problèmes expérimentaux où les résultats théoriques trouvent finalement leur justification. Nous nous penchons particulièrement sur le problème de la commande d'un robot à distance à travers un réseau et de la commande d'un système dont les sorties proviennent d'une caméra qui induit un retard et un échantillonnage.

Book excerpt: Much orthodox economic theory is based on assumptions which are treated as self-evident: supply and demand are regarded as independent entities, the individual is assumed to be a rational agent who knows his interests and how to make decisions corresponding to them, and so on. But one has only to examine an economic transaction closely, as Pierre Bourdieu does here for the buying and selling of houses, to see that these abstract assumptions cannot explain what happens in reality. As Bourdieu shows, the market is constructed by the state, which can decide, for example, whether to promote private housing or collective provision. And the individuals involved in the transaction are immersed in symbolic constructions which constitute, in a strong sense, the value of houses, neighbourhoods and towns. The abstract and illusory nature of the assumptions of orthodox economic theory has been criticised by some economists, but Bourdieu argues that we must go further. Supply, demand, the market and even the buyer and seller are products of a process of social construction, and so-called ‘economic' processes can be adequately described only by calling on sociological methods. Instead of seeing the two disciplines in antagonistic terms, it is time to recognize that sociology and economics are in fact part of a single discipline, the object of which is the analysis of social facts, of which economic transactions are in the end merely one aspect. This brilliant study by the most original sociologist of post-war France will be essential reading for students and scholars of sociology, economics, anthropology and related disciplines.
