Alice Mah, profesora de Estudios Urbanos y Ambientales en la Universidad de Glasgow (Escocia), ofrece un relato claro y convincente de cómo las empresas petroquímicas productoras de plástico se han opuesto a lo largo de medio siglo a todas las medidas gubernamentales que, mediante legislación medioambiental, han tratado de supervisar, regular y, llegado el caso, restringir el uso de los plásticos.
