Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A philosophical novel on BDSM, interracial love, dominate White men and submissive east asian women relationships. The first part, through a semi-autobiographical confession, deals primarily with the philosophical aspects of interracial BDSM relationships between dominate White men and submissive east asian women as well as establishing, albeit incompletely, the general weltanschauung of a natural order of race and for which the second part further elaborates by offering a more panoramic purview through confessions, historical artifacts and memoirs, mostly from the perspectives of submissive east asian women, and which, that is hoped, will bring about a complete weltanschauung. What is related in this book is the reality of the next two centuries; what is described is what is already happening and still to come, and what can no longer come any differently: that every white man shall have asian women as his wives, girlfriends, concubines, pleasure slaves, and meat urinals as the natural progression of the world as inevitable as the river that flows into the ocean however restlessly, violently, that wants to reach its destination, that no longer can stop, and that is afraid to stop; this fact and this reality—this future—speaks even now in a hundred signs; its destiny announces itself on every street corner; and yet some refuse to hear its music; but it will have reached a point when people will no longer be able to delude themselves. As I have said hundreds of times, economic power, as an element of soft power, will not translate into hard power, and feminine superiority will not thereby transubstantiate into masculine superiority, therefore it is imperative, inevitable that this trend will continue to move forward headlong, unabated by any tortured tension that might grow with it from decade to decade.Asian women therefore must always submit to white men's will, and do them all possible honor, and any asian woman who behaves differently is worthy not only of severe censure, but of harsh punishment. I consider, that in my judgement, all those asian women who are other than agreeable, kindly, and compliant to white men, should be harshly and rigidly disciplined through corporal punishment until she prostrates on the ground begging for mercy from her lord, her white god. “For a good horse and a bad, spurs are required; for a good asian woman or bad, the rod is required.” All asian women are by nature pliant and yielding, and hence for those who step beyond their permitted bounds, the rod is required to punish their transgressions and in order to sustain the virtues of other asian women, who practice restraint, the rod is required to encourage and frighten them. An asian woman must know that she is born to serve and worship her white man as her governor, her lord and her god, and she must learn to love her white man as her own dear life. The new dawn of mankind is here, and White man is that divine sun and asian woman is his emulous moon. As the glorious sun rises from the east, he must kill the submissive moon, who is already humiliated and defeated. The supreme sun will once again cast his light onto this world, and he will also cast a long shadow over the subjugated moon.

Book excerpt: Sun Yat-sen once famously proclaimed, "The 21st Century will be the Chinese century", but I say, "The 21st Century is the century of White worship."As the Chinese, and East Asian in general, become more wealthy-which always means more interactions with westerners, more well educated-which means more westernized, and more civilized-which means more docile, more submissive, and more feminized and which also means more infatuated and indebted to the superior western civilization-for being civilized is being western-civilized; East Asian women will become more liberated, more successful, and more independent, and which in turn means that East Asian women will become more powerful and will have more voice in the daily workings of East Asian politics, economy, and public discourse. But East Asian women will always regard White Men as the most superior men, most suitable for mating, so that means, despite of all the progress, wealth, and power that East Asia accrues, East Asian women will always favor White Men over East Asian men and in fact this trend will just exacerbate in the 21st Century as East Asian men become more civilized, more passive and more insufferably effeminate-the sexual biology of females dictates that women everywhere desire more manly men, so then, well, does that not imply that, in the end, White Men will be the true beneficiaries of this newly discovered East Asian wealth; does that not imply that White Men will still be the most celebrated, most highly desired men; does that not imply that, despite of all the clamor about the 21st Century being the Chinese Century, the 21st Century will actually become the Century of White Men and East Asian women, or, to put it more bluntly, the Century of White worship, for who else worship White Men as feverishly, as fervently, and as earnestly as East Asian women? Before I proceed further, let me clarify some terminology. When I speak of East Asian cultures, I really mean sinic cultures, that is, those that have been ingrained and influenced by Confucian ideologies, such as, but not limited to, mainland Chinese, Hong Kong Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese, Singaporean, and those fragments of the Chinese diaspora in South East Asian countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and also of numerous western countries such as Canada, America, New Zealand and Australia. So when I speak of "East Asian", I really mean "sinic", which really means "Chinese", but in our modern terminology, Chinese takes on a more narrow meaning than what is actually intends.PART I Confessions of Submissive East Asian women Fragments of my life Ode to White Man Prelude to the race of the future Shadowgraphs Unscientific postscript The new dawn PART II Training of inferior East Asian women A secret romance Confession of inferior Asian meat The secret diary of tiny broken jade A resume Confession of an asian cum bucket Racial inferiority begets feminine superiority Training of asian women The adventures of Professor Mr. White in Asia Confession of an asian sow Chinese Female Training by Mistress Right Lin Confession of Mizuki Great noontide PART III Philosophy of White Man Worship A Critique of Asian Misogyny White Man is God Peripatetic Aphorisms Biological Reality of Race Beauty of White Power White God and chink PART IV My Sexual Submission to White Power A chink cunt's need to be used I dream of a world without Asian men The joy of interracial breeding Asian women's sexual liberation Why Asian women love White men The ghost of Iris Chang speaks

Man in his pacifist rage has forsaken all of war's glory and magnified beyond reason all its cruelty. War enhanced the existence of the superior type of man and man in victory enjoyed the complete domination and monopoly of all the pleasures in conquered females. War for all its vilifications continues in its instinct the preservation of the human species by eliminating the weak, the sick, the degenerate, the unfit. Is war evil? Necessary is the evil.

Book excerpt: This volume strives to examine the various psychological and social processes by which submissive behavior among East Asian females, in the presence of Caucasian males, that is, White Man, is secreted. The extent of Caucasian males' abilities to seduce, then bond and discipline, and thereafter create socially normative systems of interracial dominance over East Asian females, whom were often characterized as the most sexually desirable females of the human species, most differentiate White Man from all other male species. At any given time and place in human history, the most dominant race has always, whether it be through war and conquest, or directly through sheer superiority, in culture, technology, and biology, creates the many possibilities of interracial breeding, voluntarily or involuntarily. The humiliation and accompanied with it, rape and torture, of females of the inferior race, which has gone on as unpondered natural progression of human propensity, is the mere fulfillment of "Natural Order," in a religious sense of the word. Nevertheless, whatever the particular instance, there is a fundamental set of socio-pscyhological mechanisms through which this social force works to produce, on the one hand, submissive behavior from the females of inferior race, and, on the other hand, the exertion of dominance from the males of superior race. White Man's mechanism for domination came into existence through his genetical superiority and biological supremacy. His predestination to power lies in his genes, which makes it his categorical imperative that he should spread his genes through females of inferior race; and by inhibiting the sexual drive of her own in-group males and heightening the level of submissiveness and femininity of herself, the East Asian female triumphantly proclaims the right to mate with the most indomitably superior race of Man on earth. In cursory, expedient study of the various aspects of the socio-pyschology of the dominant-White-male-submissive-Asian-female relationship with respect to economies of scale, this collection of short stories is a celebration of the triumph of biology over ideology, of love over narrow-minded hatred, and, ultimately of the joy, of the pleasure, of the ecstasy of Asian sex slaves writhing in agony at the feet of White Masters.

Book excerpt: The gap that divides those of us born in the 1970s and the older generation has never been so wide. Dark and edgy, deliciously naughty, an intoxicating cocktail of sex and the search for love, Shanghai Baby has already risen to cult status in mainland China. The risque contents of the breakthrough novel by hip new author Wei Hui have so alarmed Beijing authorities that thousands of copies have been confiscated and burned. As explicit as Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer, as shocking as Trainspotting, this story of a beautiful writer and her erotically charged affairs jumps, howls, and hits the ground running as it depicts the new generation rising in the East. Set in the centuries-old port city of Shanghai, the novel follows the days, and nights, of the irrepressibly carnal Coco, who waits tables in a café when she meets her first lover, a sensitive Chinese artist. Defying her parents, Coco moves in with her boyfriend and enters a frenzied, orgasmic world of drugs and hedonism. But, helpless to stop her gentle lover's descent into addiction, Coco becomes attracted to a boisterous Westerner, a rich German businessman with a penchant for S/M and seduction. Now, with an entourage of friends ranging from a streetwise madame to a rebellious filmmaker, Coco's forays into in the territory of love and lust cross the borders between two cultures -- awakening her guilt and fears of discovery, yet stimulating her emerging sexual self. Searing a blistering image into the reader's imagination, Shanghai Baby provides an alternative travelogue into the back streets of a city and the hard-core escapades of today's liberated youth. Wei Hui's provocative portrayal of men, women, and cultural transition is an astonishing and brave exposure of the unacknowledged new China, breaking through official rhetoric to show the inroads of the West and a people determined to burst free.

Book excerpt: Lady Hyegyong's memoirs, which recount the chilling murder of her husband by his father, form one of the best known and most popular classics of Korean literature. From 1795 until 1805 Lady Hyegyong composed this masterpiece, depicting a court life Shakespearean in its pathos, drama, and grandeur. Presented in its social, cultural, and historical contexts, this first complete English translation opens a door into a world teeming with conflicting passions, political intrigue, and the daily preoccupations of a deeply intelligent and articulate woman. JaHyun Kim Haboush's accurate, fluid translation captures the intimate and expressive voice of this consummate storyteller. Reissued nearly twenty years after its initial publication with a new foreword by Dorothy Ko, The Memoirs of Lady Hyegyong is a unique exploration of Korean selfhood and an extraordinary example of autobiography in the premodern era.

Book excerpt: Freedom HouseOs innovative publication WomenOs Rights in the Middle East and North Africa: Progress Amid Resistance analyzes the status of women in the region, with a special focus on the gains and setbacks for womenOs rights since the first edition was released in 2005. The study presents a comparative evaluation of conditions for women in 17 countries and one territory: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine (Palestinian Authority and Israeli-Occupied Territories), Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. The publication identifies the causes and consequences of gender inequality in the Middle East, and provides concrete recommendations for national and international policymakers and implementers. Freedom House is an independent nongovernmental organization that supports democratic change, monitors freedom, and advocates for democracy and human rights. The project has been embraced as a resource not only by international players like the United Nations and the World Bank, but also by regional womenOs rights organizations, individual activists, scholars, and governments worldwide. WomenOs rights in each country are assessed in five key areas: (1) Nondiscrimination and Access to Justice; (2) Autonomy, Security, and Freedom of the Person; (3) Economic Rights and Equal Opportunity; (4) Political Rights and Civic Voice; and (5) Social and Cultural Rights. The methodology is based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the study results are presented through a set of numerical scores and analytical narrative reports.

Owning the Olympics tests the possibilities and limits of the concept of 'media events' by analyzing the mega-event of the information age: the Beijing Olympics. . . . A good read from cover to cover." —Guobin Yang, Associate Professor, Asian/Middle Eastern Cultures & Sociology, Barnard College, Columbia University From the moment they were announced, the Beijing Games were a major media event and the focus of intense scrutiny and speculation. In contrast to earlier such events, however, the Beijing Games are also unfolding in a newly volatile global media environment that is no longer monopolized by broadcast media. The dramatic expansion of media outlets and the growth of mobile communications technology have changed the nature of media events, making it significantly more difficult to regulate them or control their meaning. This volatility is reflected in the multiple, well-publicized controversies characterizing the run-up to Beijing 2008. According to many Western commentators, the People's Republic of China seized the Olympics as an opportunity to reinvent itself as the "New China"---a global leader in economics, technology, and environmental issues, with an improving human-rights record. But China's maneuverings have also been hotly contested by diverse global voices, including prominent human-rights advocates, all seeking to displace the official story of the Games. Bringing together a distinguished group of scholars from Chinese studies, human rights, media studies, law, and other fields, Owning the Olympics reveals how multiple entities---including the Chinese Communist Party itself---seek to influence and control the narratives through which the Beijing Games will be understood. digitalculturebooks is an imprint of the University of Michigan Press and the Scholarly Publishing Office of the University of Michigan Library dedicated to publishing innovative and accessible work exploring new media and their impact on society, culture, and scholarly communication. Since the outcomes can matter greatly to international community, that community might wish to influence them by providing support to appropriate actors. The author recommends a mixed approach of providing specific types of support to those who can influence the outcomes in desirable ways.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What induced the British to adopt foreign coffee-drinking customs in the seventeenth century? Why did an entirely new social institution, the coffeehouse, emerge as the primary place for consumption of this new drink? In this lively book, Brian Cowan locates the answers to these questions in the particularly British combination of curiosity, commerce, and civil society. Cowan provides the definitive account of the origins of coffee drinking and coffeehouse society, and in so doing he reshapes our understanding of the commercial and consumer revolutions in Britain during the long Stuart century. Britain’s virtuosi, gentlemanly patrons of the arts and sciences, were profoundly interested in things strange and exotic. Cowan explores how such virtuosi spurred initial consumer interest in coffee and invented the social template for the first coffeehouses. As the coffeehouse evolved, rising to take a central role in British commercial and civil society, the virtuosi were also transformed by their own invention.

Book excerpt: In Terror Capitalism anthropologist Darren Byler theorizes the contemporary Chinese colonization of the Uyghur Muslim minority group in the northwest autonomous region of Xinjiang. He shows that the mass detention of over one million Uyghurs in “reeducation camps” is part of processes of resource extraction in Uyghur lands that have led to what he calls terror capitalism—a configuration of ethnoracialization, surveillance, and mass detention that in this case promotes settler colonialism. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork in the regional capital Ürümchi, Byler shows how media infrastructures, the state’s enforcement of “Chinese” cultural values, and the influx of Han Chinese settlers contribute to Uyghur dispossession and their expulsion from the city. He particularly attends to the experiences of young Uyghur men—who are the primary target of state violence—and how they develop masculinities and homosocial friendships to protect themselves against gendered, ethnoracial, and economic violence. By tracing the political and economic stakes of Uyghur colonization, Byler demonstrates that state-directed capitalist dispossession is coconstructed with a colonial relation of domination.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why were urban women veiled in the early 1900s, unveiled from 1936 to 1979, and reveiled after the 1979 revolution? This question forms the basis of Hamideh Sedghi's original and unprecedented contribution to politics and Middle Eastern studies. Using primary and secondary sources, Sedghi offers new knowledge on women's agency in relation to state power. In this rigorous analysis she places contention over women at the centre of the political struggle between secular and religious forces and demonstrates that control over women's identities, sexuality, and labor has been central to the consolidation of state power. Sedghi links politics and culture with economics to present an integrated analysis of the private and public lives of different classes of women and their modes of resistance to state power.
