Cette recherche nous permettra de voir si les difficultés de compréhension de ces enfants doivent être attribuées à un problème de conceptualisation de l'inférence, ou à un problème de langue. D'autre part, notre population étant scindée en trois groupes, nous regarderons également si l'intégration des enfants en milieu scolaire entendant durant le cycle primaire, a une action facilitatrice sur leur compréhension et la construction de leur rappel ; et si les enfants sourds issus de parents sourds, qui ont donc constamment bénéficié d'un bain de langue des signes, sont plus aptes que les autres à produire les inférences nécessaires à la compréhension de contenus implicites tels que l'ironie ici. Nous essaierons ainsi de comprendre les difficultés éprouvées par les enfants sourds de parents entendants scolarisés depuis tous petits dans des établissements spécialisés, difficultés qui semblent plus accentuées que pour les autres enfants sourds à la fois à deux niveaux : l'un concernant la compréhension de textes écrits (notamment au niveau du schéma narratif), l'autre touchant la saisie et la compréhension de l'humour, entité répandue et indispensable dans notre langue et au sein de notre société.

Au travers de sa perception de l'humour, l'enfant, et notamment l'enfant en retard de langage, donne à voir les ressorts de son fonctionnement langagier, mais aussi cognitif et affectif parfois. Le but de l'étude est de mieux cerner les performances ou les aptitudes qu'on peut attendre d'un enfant d'école primaire. A cet effet, nous avons proposé à 30 enfants de CE2 et de CM2 des items humoristiques basés sur diverses capacités linguistiques et nous avons relevé ce qu'ils en ont compris. Bien sûr, dans le cadre de l'orthophonie, le but n'est pas de rééduquer l'humour mais le langage. Néanmoins, l'humour peut s'avérer riche de promesses dans une perspective d'évaluation des troubles comme dans une perspective de rééducation.

Both forms of poetry draw on similar roots, both are equally accomplished, and the contest between them is largely amicable. The Judgment of Palaement illustrates the almost symbiotic relationship between Renaissance Latin and French poetry, while exploring poets' motivation for choosing one language over another, the different challenges each form of writing involved, and the extent of the collaboration between different language communities. It focuses on some of the major writers of the period, as well as less known ones, and on genres specific to humanist poetry. It shows that composing in Latin was often considered more natural than writing in the vernacular, at a time when many Frenchmen's mother tongue was a non-standard French dialect or distinct language.
