Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many years have passed since the last edition of the present book was published. The discovery during this period of many new reagents has resulted in a vast accumulation of data on their application and made this completely revised edition necessary. Numerous new tests and various new chapters have been added. Chapters 3,4 and 5 of the fifth edition have been combined into one chapter, which is divided into sections devoted to the elements. These sections are arranged in alphabetical order to make for easier location of information on a given element. To further improve the usefulness of the volume, a reference list has been provided for each sub-section followed by a biography of the appropriate quantitative methods.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quality and reliability are central to success in every discipline, but perhaps nowhere are they more important or more interconnected than in the practice of analytical chemistry. Here, although reliable analytical information implies quality, not all "quality" information proves reliable. Quality and Reliability in Analytical Chemistry examine
Book Synopsis Analytical Profile of the Resin Spot Test Method by : Vladimir Grdinic
Download or read book Analytical Profile of the Resin Spot Test Method written by Vladimir Grdinic and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-05-04 with total page 405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The working title of the book was The Detection of Analytes by the Resin Spot Tests Method. Firstly, we decided to sort out all published qualitative methods systematically against analytes. We were not discouraged by the obstacles, such as the study of a great number of papers published in Japanese, the difficulty in locating (especially older) publications, or the time required. Still, having in mind not to burden unnecessarily the volume of the book, we dismissed the idea of systematically listing all the procedures in detail. Nevertheless, a relatively large number of them found a place in the book, and perhaps this will contribute to the stirring of spontaneous interest in this technique in the ranks of applied chemists and others who a priori shun the technique.

Book Synopsis Index to Reviews, Symposia Volumes and Monographs in Organic Chemistry by : Norman Kharasch
Download or read book Index to Reviews, Symposia Volumes and Monographs in Organic Chemistry written by Norman Kharasch and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 357 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Index to Reviews, Symposia Volumes and Monographs in Organic Chemistry for the Period 1940-1960 presents a resume of published monographs, reviews, and symposia lectures in organic chemistry. The editors adopted the plan of listings by symposia volume or journal, backed up by the total subject and author indexes. In this way the user can readily locate a particular article through the author index or the subject index; or should he recall that an article appeared in a particular source, the chronological listing in that source can be scanned quickly. The Index gives a convenient overview of the accomplishments of organic chemists during this very prolific period of the growth of the field. Frequently, several articles on the same or similar subject appear, hence the historical perspective can be sensed by rapid evaluation of the reviews selected. This Index will be useful to research workers, teachers and students. It will also assist editors and authors to select specific areas which require critical review.

Book Synopsis Synthetic Coordination Chemistry by : Julian A. Davies
Download or read book Synthetic Coordination Chemistry written by Julian A. Davies and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1996 with total page 482 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although coordination chemistry naturally centers on the synthesis of coordination compounds, the synthesis of these materials is typically not an end in itself. Coordination compounds are utilized in all branches of chemistry; from theoretical modeling to industrial and consumer products. While a large amount of information is available on coordination chemistry in general and synthetic methods in particular, no comprehensive work has been presented on the preparation of coordination compounds with an emphasis on synthetic strategies rather than on detailed descriptions of specific syntheses. The goal of this book is to provide an approach to coordination chemistry that is based upon preparative strategies. The main aim of the authors is to present a systematic classification of synthetic reactions rather than an encyclopedic listing of experimental results. Hence, the coverage is more selective than exhaustive. Despite this, the book provides access to the original literature with ca. 2000 references. The edition is well-illustrated and contains almost 250 schemes, figures and illustrations of crystal structures of selected complexes.
