Late hours in the dark, editing her latest project were nothing new; but little did she know that tonight she was on a collision course with terrorists that would flip her life upside down and prove to her that everything she knew was a lie. In the midst of a series of terror attacks, she’s learning that the universe is a little more crowded than she realized. Kat owes her life to her very own version of a knight in shining armor: An Armada Centurion in Black Armor. Meet Ranger. Her world will never be the same. From the book: And how do you plan on making your escape?" "Sir, do you really think you could stop me if I wanted to leave? When the time comes, I will walk out that door under my own power and whether or not you leave with me as my friend or are left lying unconscious in the corner there will be your choice. For my part in this, I'd like for us to be friends because we do have a mutual enemy."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joined by his Myrmidon Team, Centurion Ranger prepares to continue his war against the alien Rochack that have invaded Kat Delbath’s homeworld. First, though, he needs to gather new allies and new resources and prepare them for a battle unlike any the world has seen before. Alongside old friends and new, Ranger will destroy this threat to Humanity’s safety. From the book "You are Cobbald, yes? Son of the late Minister of War?" Zeno asked. He frowned when Edgar nodded confirmation. "My condolences, Mister Cobbald. If I understand Ranger’s metaphor, you more than most, uh, ‘have a dog in the fight’." "No, sir," Edgar said. "What I have is a duty. A duty to my fellow man to protect them from these alien ass clowns that have dared to land on our world, sir." He pointed a thumb at Ranger. "These aliens may be jerks, but they're friendly jerks. They're willing to pay us to work for them. With their tech. Equal shares to governments that sign on, special deals to business partners in the private sector. Imagine, sir, being able to have bases on Huginn and Muninn, to mine asteroids for metals and minerals that are exceedingly rare here. You should see the fusion plants on that little ship. The size of a tractor tire but able to put out more energy than the nuclear plant powering New Inisfrack."

Book excerpt: “Considering the high gifts, and the strong claims of the Church of Rome and its dependencies on our admiration, reverence, love, and gratitude, how could we withstand it, as we do; how could we refrain from being melted into tenderness, and rushing into communion with it, but for the words of Truth itself, which bid us prefer it to the whole world? ‘He that loveth father or mother more than Me, is not worthy of Me.’ How could we learn to be severe, and execute judgment, but for the warning of Moses against even a divinely-gifted teacher who should preach new gods, and the anathema of St. Paul even against Angels and Apostles who should bring in a new doctrine?” Aeterna Press

This includes an in-depth analysis of the period 1947-62, which is often ignored by Indian defence analysts, and the performance of the defence industrial base. He concludes that India's defence policy is designed more as one aspect of the quest for great power status than as an attempt to aquire security at an affordable price.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report assesses the activities of organized crime groups, terrorist groups, and narcotics traffickers in general in the Tri-Border Area (TBA) of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay, focusing mainly on the period since 1999. Some of the related topics discussed, such as governmental and police corruption and anti-money-laundering laws, may also apply in part to the three TBA countries in general in addition to the TBA. This is unavoidable because the TBA cannot be discussed entirely as an isolated entity. Based entirely on open sources, this assessment has made extensive use of books, journal articles, and other reports available in the Library of Congress collections. It is based in part on the author's earlier research paper entitled "Narcotics-Funded Terrorist/Extremist Groups in Latin America" (May 2002). It has also made extensive use of sources available on the Internet, including Argentine, Brazilian, and Paraguayan newspaper articles. One of the most relevant Spanish-language sources used for this assessment was Mariano César Bartolomé's paper entitled Amenazas a la seguridad de los estados: La triple frontera como 'área gris' en el cono sur americano [Threats to the Security of States: The Triborder as a 'Grey Area' in the Southern Cone of South America] (2001). The selective bibliography includes books, journal articles, and other reports. Newspaper and magazine articles are footnoted. This report also includes an appendix containing brief profiles of six alleged operatives of Islamic fundamentalist groups in the TBA and a diagram of drug-trafficking routes in the region.
