Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book asks what seems like a silly question-can you teach a zebra some algebra? You may in turn ask-what kind of a question is that? How can one teach algebra to a zebra? However, that is exactly what the education system that we have inherited is attempting to do. Teachers go on to teach a subject with very little knowledge of the real subject-the student. Our schools remind us of the story of a sports school for animals. Here the teacher is employed to train animals to compete for the Animal Olympics. The teacher looks at a rabbit and teaches it to fly. Then he gets hold of an eagle and forces the bird to run. The elephant is asked to swim and the tortoise is advised to practice a high jump. Finally, after fifteen years of training is over, the duck is declared the Olympic champion. Why? The duck can do a little bit of hopping, flying, jumping and swimming-a jack of all trades and master of none. Think of what's happening in our schools today. Students, like the duck in the story are asked to do a bit of everything with no deep knowledge of anything.

Book excerpt: This book brings together a collection of articles from eminent scholars and practitioners from India, Europe, the USA, and Australia and investigates the applicability of spiritually inspired business models in Indian and Western contexts. This book is a tribute to the revered Indian management scholar and philosopher Professor S. K. Chakraborty, a pioneer of human values and Indian ethos in management. It explores the potentials and pitfalls of spiritual-based leadership and provides directions for renewing business education to embrace human values and spirituality. The forty contributions in the book are divided into seven sections—introduction; business ethics and management; developing new organizational models and processes; potentials and pitfalls of spirituality-based leadership; leaders and their world; education, spirituality, and society; ways to go—to bring out different aspects of the spirituality in business model endorsed by Chakraborty. The book is a treasure trove for researchers of not only business ethics, but also of leadership and strategy studies, in addition to the organization professionals and the general reader for expert insights on the topic.

Yet, true education is about achieving mastery-it is about perfecting ourselves as a species. Each one of us was created in our unique human shape and form. We were not mass manufactured in a factory. Our mission in life is therefore to create and to give birth to our true genius-something that we are born to do.

Then give him some more examples of same kind.In this competitive world this book is necessary for your kid. It must be in your book rack. This book is also a good choice to present to kidsIt is enough if your kid does two pages a day . . If he does it continuously it takes 60 days for him to complete. but children wont do math every day. So this book may sometimes be useful for entire academic year.

The key to teaching Algebra successfully is to have a curriculum that is as flexible as possible. A child's learning capabilities grow and develop constantly so a text that fits perfectly at the start of the school year might not work after a few months. This curriculum is designed to accommodate the growing and changing maturity of a child throughout the year.Algebra Can Be Easy for Anyone to Teach Any ChildEach book in the series is available as both a teacher's guide and a student workbook for use in a tutoring group, small class, or homeschool. No additional texts are needed. Parents with any educational background will be equipped to teach the subject using the teacher's guide as a resource.Designed for Gifted, 2e, Special Education, and Everything BetweenDifferent ways of thinking about and explaining each lesson are included in the teacher's guide to accommodate children who are gifted, or dyslexic, or prefer nearly any learning style.Flexible and FriendlyIndividual worksheets work as a stand-alone curriculum, or as reinforcement and supplemental practice. This book is the result of years of teaching children, teens, and adults. Students will learn why algebra works, not just how to use it.Topics Learned in This BookThis, the sixth in the Doodles Do Algebra(tm) series is focused on solving simple equations.
