El diseno de la investigacion es de tipo operacional, evaluativo, transversal, ya que se refiere a un momento en el tiempo, septiembre de 1994. A traves de este estudio se identifica la calidad de atencion de acuerdo al grado de satisfaccion del usuario que asiste a este programa. Es un estudio por muestreo, cuyo objetivo fundamental es el nivel o proporcion de la poblacion que se siente satisfecha con la calidad de atencion recibida en el Programa de Home Care, que lleva a cabo la Clinica Hospital San Fernando. Este proceso proporciono una muestra de 150 pacientes. El instrumento para la captacion de los datos fueron dos cuestionarios: uno dirigido al personal del programa y el otro al paciente. El analisis de los datos permitio senalar que el 85.5 (por ciento) de los usuarios del Programa de Home Care opinan que la atencion del medico y el de la enfermera es excelente, respecto a la percepcion que tiene el personal del programa sobre la suficiencia de recursos humanos el 50 (por ciento) opina que es suficiente el personal medico y de Enfermeria (AU.).
