But the awareness about that stamps are very less and information about that subjects have not reached the public enough, as the stamps are on sale for a small period of time.More over the Authorities inform only about the feature of the stamps, not the detail about the stamp's subject matter. I felt Birds are very good subjects on stamps and the information about them will be a interesting reading for Students, and general public.This is my attempt to bring out the subject on Indian Birds featured in Stamps of India. The first stamps (Four) on Birds were released by Indian Postage Authorities in 1968. After that many beautiful birds' stamps were released by them frequently. As myself a student of Nature and Environment I enjoyed collecting details about them. I am happy to present this as a book. Thank you. M.H.Subamenu
