Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dead Boys Can't Dance is a ground-breaking exploration of the double taboos of homosexuality and suicide and their effect on males from fourteen to twenty-five. North American society has been reluctant to recognize that there is a link between the social stigmatization of homosexuality and the high level of suicide attempts by adolescent boys who are homosexual or are identified as homosexual by their peers. By examining first-person accounts from teenage boys and young men, Michel Dorais and Simon Louis Lajeunesse shed light on why some of them attempt to take their own lives. Dorais and Lajeunesse analyse the adverse ways being stigmatized as homosexual affects personality and behaviour, discerning four types of reaction: the 'good boy', whose perfectionism and asexuality are an attempt to minimize the difference between how he is perceived and what he is supposed to be; the 'chameleon', who attempts to keep everyone from suspecting his secret but constantly feels like an impostor; the 'designated fag', who serves as a scapegoat to his peers, especially at school, and suffers a consequent rejection and lack of self-esteem; and the 'rebel', who actively rejects any stigma based on his sexual orientation and non-conformity .They show that those who are heterosexual but suspected of being homosexual are most at risk of suicide and they make recommendations for suicide prevention.

Book excerpt: This book only seeks to make the reader more conscious that the healing of our ills lies in our minds and that the Course is a resource for healing here on Earth. This book is organized according to the same method I use when I teach and learn A Course in Miracles in my workshops. The teaching is reiterative; you can never repeat the principles of ACIM enough. I try to bring these principles to daily life to help the people who listen to me or who train with me to make the pertinent change in mentality, always under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Book excerpt: In a world where marriage doesn’t exist—only seven-year contracts—you don’t marry, you sign. You don’t divorce, you breach. And sometimes, you just expire. In this hilarious conclusion to Erin Lyon's I Love You Subject to the Following Terms and Conditions, Kate has accepted a job practicing signing law, the one type of law she swore she'd never do - especially since what she thought was her very own happily ever after turned into just another expired contract. But between Kate's embarrassing penchant for running into exes in court, clients determined to use her as their very own therapist, and a couple having a knock-down, drag-out over the custody of the family guinea pig, at least the job's never boring. But while Kate finally has a handle on her career, her love life is still, well, complicated. The former love of her life, Jonathan, wants her back. Her current main squeeze, Dave, wants to take things to the next level, but she still can't shake her wolf-in-sheep's-clothing vibe about him. And then there's Adam, her mad crush who really wants to be her friend. So, to sum up, one questionable ex, one player with a capital "P," and one guy who's kind of stolen her heart even though she's in the friend zone. This should be a piece of cake. Unconditionally is both a sweet and sexy romantic comedy and a hilariously relatable look at finding happiness where you least expect it. Book excerpt: Think and Thank is an innovative book that intertwines nonfiction and fictional narratives to define success as the continuous pursuit of a worthy ideal. The author, leveraging real-life experiences and thorough research, underscores the significance of ongoing growth and high aspirations. The book serves as a crucial guide in a world marked by constant change, offering insights into why some achieve happiness and wealth while others do not. Central to its message is the ability to think constructively rather than worry aimlessly, a skill deemed essential for reaching one's worthy ideal. The book is structured into three enlightening parts: thinking, planning, and acting. The first part delves into the art of thinking, differentiating it from mere worrying. The second part builds on this by promoting careful planning, and the final part emphasizes the importance of taking action, as true understanding is evidenced by application. Written in clear, accessible language, Think and Thank respects the diverse backgrounds of its readers, enriching their journey with psycho-philosophical, scientific, and scriptural references. Think and Thank goes beyond the typical self-help genre by embracing an Agile mindset, addressing life's realities, and empowering readers to make decisions that align with their ideals. It is designed to unlock dormant potential and guide readers through life's complexities with wisdom and gratitude. This book is an essential read for anyone aiming to navigate their personal and professional lives successfully.
