Eastman; married, five children; Congregationalist; 32d degree Mason and Red Man; member of the House of Representatives in 1903 and 1905; president of the State Senate in 1907 and member of the State Senate in 1913. Elected by a vote of to for Arthur D. Rollins of Alton, Democrat, and 484 for Oliver L. Frisbee of Portsmouth, Progressive. District number three - John B. Cavanaugh, Republican, of Manchester, was born in that city June 19, 1871, and was educated in its public schools, the Park Street Grammar and the High, and at the Boston University Law School. He is a lawyer; Roman Catholic; married; member of the Knights of Columbus, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Catholic Order of Foresters, Manchester Historical Society and Manchester Publicity Association. He was a member of the House of Representatives in 1899, 1901 and 1903, of the State Senate in 1905 and of the Constitutional Convention of 1912. On election day he received votes to for Samuel H. Connor, Democrat, 557 for H. W. N. Bennett, Progressive, and 369 for James E. Dorion of Manchester, Socialist.
