Durch die Verknüpfung aller Problembereiche wird die Unterstützungsleistung mehrerer unterschiedlicher Professionen gefordert, um eine angemessene und nachhaltige Suchthilfe für den Klienten gewährleisten zu können. Eine langfristige, nachhaltige Suchthilfe ist gezwungen, sich den Besonderheiten und individuellen Lebenslagen Opiatabhängiger anzupassen. Hinzu kommt, dass Abhängigkeitserkrankte oftmals mit den Möglichkeiten an Hilfsangeboten überfordert, nicht ausreichend informiert oder gehemmt sind, soziale Dienstleistungsangebote anzunehmen. Ein Konzept, das diesen Anforderungen entspricht, ist der Handlungsansatz des Case Managements. Dessen Aufgabe ist es, ein individuelles, zielgerichtetes System von Hilfsstrukturen zu organisieren, zu kontrollieren und auszuwerten. Es handelt sich um ein individuelles Fallmanagement, das kein fest verankertes Konzept der Suchthilfe ist, sondern nur vereinzelt von Institutionen oder Einrichtungsbündeln umgesetzt wird. Daher zielt diese wissenschaftliche Arbeit auf die Beantwortung folgender Fragestellung ab: Welche Möglichkeiten bietet das Case Management in Bezug auf die vielfältigen Probleme und den daraus entstehenden Bedürfnissen langjährig Opiatabhängiger?

It focusses on three separate but interrelated themes: firstly, it explores methodological and ethical issues related to research with war-affected populations in general and children born of war in particular.
