When Kaiser Roush decided to round up a couple of dozen other aquatic shifters and create a marine park, he’d known it would be a success. He’d even roped his brother William into it, making him the beta of his pod. Now their park contains a massive variety of aquatic and semi-aquatic shifters—sharks, dolphins, octopi, seahorses, and so much more. It seems, Kaiser’s not the only one who agrees with his idea. Fate is smiling on them and sending some of them mates—the other halves of their souls. The problem is, sharing their secret with humans brings a new set of issues. The humans have problems, too…and Kaiser will have to figure out a way to balance helping the shifters in his pod as well as their mates with keeping his people safe. Bundle Contains: Backstroking with a Tiger Shark Book 1 Floating with a Sea Cow Book 2 Diving with a Hammerhead Book 3

Every decade it becomes harder and harder to keep his vampire nature hidden. When a silly mistake drags his nature into question, Price knows he needs to find a safe place to lie low. He turns to the one man he can trust—ex-team member Graham Canton. Even though Price is aware Graham lives at a marine park with a bunch of shifters, he knows he has no choice. He has to put his life in the hands of other paranormals—something he hasn’t done in over one hundred fifty years. Price trusts Graham, so he takes the chance. One of the men who accompanies the shifter pod alpha when he comes to question Price—after all, he could be bringing trouble their way—is none other than his beloved—a giant octopus shifter named Dare Winterwall. Can Price help the shifters save not only him but their anonymity, too? Oh, and will he be able to work past his queasiness of all things…tentacled?

Book excerpt: World of Aquatica: When one thoughtless comment drives away a shifter’s mate, he finds his patience tested as he attempts to correct the misunderstanding. When Westram McKinley met Noah Redruvian, an uncouth offer for a roll in the hay has Noah painting him with the same brush as his ex-boyfriend—an unfaithful playboy. As a nearly two-century-old longnose saw-shark shifter, he did have plenty of experience, but nothing could have been further from the truth. Noah was his mate. Westram would never stray from the man. As weeks without his mate turn into months, Westram’s shark begins to pine, becoming increasingly volatile, only calmed with the help of his alpha, Kaiser. The continued updates about Noah from Kaiser’s mate, Arthur—who is good buddies with the man—also help keep Westram from losing his mind. When Arthur comes to Westram and shares that Noah hasn’t answered his calls in two days, Westram doesn’t waste a second. He heads to Noah’s, ready for any type of vitriol the distrustful human throws at him. To his dismay, when he arrives, Noah is injured and nearly catatonic, fear oozing from every pore. Can Westram figure out how to soothe Noah and get his mate to talk to him before whatever danger had terrorized him returns?

Book Synopsis Ecological Regions of North America by :
Download or read book Ecological Regions of North America written by and published by . This book was released on 1997 with total page 92 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume represents a first attempt at holistically classifying and mapping ecological regions across all three countries of the North American continent. A common analytical methodology is used to examine North American ecology at multiple scales, from large continental ecosystems to subdivisions of these that correlate more detailed physical and biological settings with human activities on two levels of successively smaller units. The volume begins with an overview of North America from an ecological perspective, concepts of ecological regionalization. This is followed by descriptions of the 15 broad ecological regions, including information on physical and biological setting and human activities. The final section presents case studies in applications of the ecological characterization methodology to environmental issues. The appendix includes a list of common and scientific names of selected species characteristic of the ecological regions.
