Book Synopsis Leave A Legacy In Words by : Raymond Tapp
Download or read book Leave A Legacy In Words written by Raymond Tapp and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2017-09-07 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book of poems was written with inspiration and from the heart. It came to pass as if God was speaking to me giving me the words to put on paper, the poems are spiritually discerned and written out of love. At times, I knew it was God speaking to me as you will find as you read these poems as well as in the books to follow. This book of poems was meant to inspire those that read them, whether they make you sad, happy, or encourage you. It was God who seen me through a five year serve out incarcerations. That is five years straight, from 1997 to the end of 2001. I have been out for 15 years and have not looked back. You have to be down and out, it is then that you will call out to God, "God help me". So, I am truly grateful that he did just that. I spent my time reading and writing a lot, also taking care of my physical body by working out and doing a lot of walking. As I walked, I had a little pocket version of the New Testament and I would read scriptures until I memorized them. One of the first scriptures I memorized was Proverbs 3:5-6. The scripture says "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not unto thine own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths". (King James Version) May you be inspired and blessed as you read these poems. God has blessed me and he wants me to share that it was Him that changes life. May you find comfort and peace as you read these poems. God Bless Ray Tapp

Download or read book Things I Learned Along The Way written by Glenn W. Martin and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2005-09 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each of us has only one life to live. Some lives are long and some are cut too short. They can be full of happy times, but there can also be sad moments. The events that shape our lives are all pieces of our life's puzzle. The choices we make, the lessons we learn from our life's experiences, and the people who share them with us, all help to influence who we are and who we will become. I have been around for over 80 years, and during my long life, I have had many experiences and learned many lessons along the way. In sharing some of these with you, it is not my intention to teach or give advice. Nor do I want to tell anyone how they should live, what they should believe, or what they ought to do. Instead, I want to share some of the things I learned that proved to be useful to me on my life's journey. I hope some of these lessons might also be helpful as you make your way on your own journey through life.

Book Synopsis One Excellent One, Looking for and Being... by : Hawk
Download or read book One Excellent One, Looking for and Being... written by Hawk and published by Dog Ear Publishing. This book was released on 2008-02 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "One Excellent One, Looking For And Being..." is a book about "Trying To Be Excellent." It will challenge you to be neater and more organized, help you to consider where you are in your life, and inspire you with some little wisdom and encouragement. Accept the goal; "Try To Be Excellent." Try To Be Excellent for yourself and those that you love, those you may next meet, or even those you once loved... and discover the rewards. It has nothing to do with being arrogant or being better than anyone else. Rather, it is more about surveying your own life and then making a more deliberate and conscious effort to mold your life with attitude and action, your world, into a better place. Instead of just going from day to day, consider looking at yourself, your life, and how you might make it more excellent, and keep it that way. Make the sacrifice, do what it takes, to make your life, your world and our world, something excellent... Try To Be Excellent. One thing builds upon the next. You start in one place and move and grow to somewhere else. Much is beyond our control. However, where we have the option to decide, decide carefully. Every step you take brings you in some direction, either closer to your goals and dreams, or further from them. "Try To Be Excellent," in your attitude, in the things that you choose to surround you, in the wisdom you choose to follow, who you trust and believe, and in what your life becomes. Try to be strong, wise, and loving. "Wisdom is the root of all happiness, and love dwells there." -Hawk. Hawk has worked as a Private Investigator for most of his life. This gave him a special insight and the ability to see the "three sides to every coin.," of many different kinds of relationships. It made him more philosophical about life and amazingly, not bitter or cynical. He witnessed the best and the worst that people had to offer each other. When the love of his life left him, he took a good look at his own life and decided that he could improve. Not just change, but to "Try To Be Excellent." With who he was, with where he was, with the things and the people in his life... He adopted an Excellentway to live by trying to be excellent. He accepted the challenge of a more simple, organized life, and with attitude, action, and sacrifice, became stronger, wiser, and happier. Hawk is single and lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but travels extensively. He is committed to trying to be excellent, both in his personal and business life. He has a love for both nature and high technology, and works on various projects both large and small. He hopes that in some small way, this book will help to encourage people and in so doing, make the world a better place.
Book Synopsis The Wisdom of God by : Nancy Guthrie
Download or read book The Wisdom of God written by Nancy Guthrie and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2012-02-29 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This 10-week study of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon mines the Wisdom Literature not only for wise principles for living, but also for the wise person these books point to through their drama, poetry, proverb, and song. In her accessible and authentic style, Nancy Guthrie focuses on seeing Jesus in the Old Testament instead of emphasizing works-based moralism. She presents clear commentary and contemporary application of gospel truths, speaking directly to issues such as repentance, submission, happiness, and sexuality. Each weekly lesson includes questions for personal study, a contemporary teaching chapter that emphasizes how the passage fits into the bigger story of redemptive history, a brief section on how the passage uniquely points to what is yet to come at the consummation of Christ's kingdom, and a leader's guide for group discussion.

Book Synopsis The Not-Very-Persecuted Church by : Laura Hunt
Download or read book The Not-Very-Persecuted Church written by Laura Hunt and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2011-11-01 with total page 113 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How do we live distinctively in communities embedded in the world around us? The Not-Very-Persecuted Church provides church leaders, pastors, and Christians interested in community development with principles for evaluating culture in light of mission. Since we are called to live in community, the processes that build group identity can help us understand how to live together well. Paul addressed some of the problems that can occur in not-very-persecuted groups in the first four chapters of 1 Corinthians, and he shows us the way suffering forms identity in that context. With discussion questions and stories from personal interviews, this book offers both fascinating glimpses into the world of the first century and practical applications for Christians today.
Book Synopsis Being the Best of the Best by : Lemuel Baker Ph.D
Download or read book Being the Best of the Best written by Lemuel Baker Ph.D and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2023-01-22 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a sequel to my book 'Feed My Sheep.' To become the 'best of the best,' the religious community must take some time to wrap their arms around religious issues with causes that are not so obvious which create challenges which go unsolved. When we begin to understand the critical issues within the religious community, create definite action plans to resolve them, the religious community can then provide godly wisdom bringing change among all cohort groups represented. The ancient Statesman Daniel was an excellent example of bringing God's influence at very high levels only because he was assessed by his peers to be of an excellent spirit, well rounded, educated, intelligent, managing his weight, his emotions and spirit well. God intends the religious community to be the best of the best because religion advocates morality at the highest levels thus is scrutinized at a very high level.
