Download or read book Awaken, Israel written by Dr. Jaerock Lee and published by Urim Books. This book was released on 2009-08-31 with total page 197 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Under God’s extraordinary care and guidance, Israel was always preserved, achieved independence, and once again became a nation above all nations. How could the people of Israel be preserved and why was Israel restored? Many people say, “The survival of the Jewish nation is a miracle.” As the kinds and magnitude of persecution and oppression the Jewish people endured during the Diaspora exceeded any description and imagination, the history of Israel alone attests to the authenticity of the Bible. Yet, even a greater degree of distress and anguish than what the Jews faced will take place following the Second Advent of Jesus Christ.

This book was released on 2016-01-04 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is my pleasure to introduce to you this sermon series by Pastor Paul Mullet, the senior pastor of the Divine Truth Ministries. Although the topics of the messages contained in this first volume may vary, their purpose is the same: to seek, find, and educate the lost sheep of the true House of Israel. Many of you may have had the opportunity to hear some of these messages delivered in person as a part of the congregation. Others may have heard them live, or in archived recordings, on the The Divine Truth radio program, or read them in the published newsletter. For a few of you, this may be your first opportunity to hear God's word delivered in this manner. If so, you're in for a special treat. If you've suffered through the mendacity of Judeo-Christian churches, and been frustrated by the namby-pamby hypocrisy and cowardice of mainstream preachers, these words will be true fruit of the spirit, and quench your thirst for truth. Read each one as a devotional and testimony. Pray about them, and seek God's guidance as you apply each message to your own life. Share them with others who are also lost in doubt and grief, searching for the light to mark their path. Then, join us in our ministry through The Divine Truth website, newsletter, or radio broadcasts, to combine your strengths to ours, so that together, we can work to expand God's kingdom and help reach His people with their true identity, their Christian Identity, as the lost sheep of the House of Israel. I pray that He allows each of these messages to bless you and enrich your faith, as they have enriched and strengthened mine. Yours in Christ, Billy Roper Minister of Information, the Divine Truth Ministries.

The answer is Israel. And the controversy over her destiny affects every nation on earth. In an urgent plea for prophetic watchmen, James W. Goll calls you to join the global prayer movement to remind God of His promises toward His ancient covenant people, according to a targeted biblical plan. Join with watchmen worldwide to remind God of His prophetic calendar, and watch as He fulfills His promises to Israel! "Readers of this edifying and scripturally rich book will learn how to pray and intercede for Israel, as well as see more clearly how what we do personally contributes to the unfolding of these eternal purposes."--Dr. Michael L. Brown, host of the Line of Fire broadcast; author, Has God Failed You? Portions of this book were previously published in Praying for Israel's Destiny and The Coming Israel Awakening.

Book Synopsis Apocalyptic Messianism and Contemporary Jewish-American Poetry by : R. Barbara Gitenstein
Download or read book Apocalyptic Messianism and Contemporary Jewish-American Poetry written by R. Barbara Gitenstein and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 2012-02-01 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Focusing on the rich context of esoteric Jerish literature, this collection presents in-depth analyses of Jewish-American poetry. Gitenstein defines Jewish messianism and the literary genre of the apocalyptic, describes historical movements and kabbalistic theories, and analyzes their influence as part of the post-Holocaust consciousness. Represented are works by such poets as Irving Feldman, Jack Hirschman, John Hollander, David Meltzer, and Jerome Rothenberg. Gitenstein recounts the lives of such spectacular eccentrics and holy men as the Abraham Abulafia (thirteenth century), Isaac Luria (sixteenth century), Shabbatai Zevi (seventeenth century), and Jacob Frank (eighteenth century) and identifies their theories as part of the history of the literary apocalyptic genre—the literature of exile, the literature of catastrophe.

You were made for more than a life of holy discontent--more than the frustrating sense of sitting on the sidelines of your own life's purpose. From the beginning, Jesus has beckoned us out of passivity and into a high-stakes adventure with hearts fully alive, lives fully engaged, and the courage needed for both. With a heart-stirring message and compelling stories, founder of Jesus Culture and pastor Banning Liebscher will equip you with practical guidance to be and do all that God has called you to. The Three-Mile Walk draws from the biblical story of Jonathan, who, after a treacherous three-mile hike, boldly stepped into battle and watched God work a stunning victory in the midst of impossible odds. Likewise, Liebscher presents the three key attributes you need to fully engage your mission--courage, holiness, and faith. In his power-packed, memorable style, Liebscher offers fresh insight and instruction for answering your calling with a courageous "yes," and setting out on the journey of a lifetime. You are meant to change the world. It's going to be tough, surprising, and more fulfilling than you can imagine. You just need the courage to rise up and walk it out.

Download or read book Hosea, Amos written by Allen R. Guenther and published by MennoMedia, Inc.. This book was released on 1998-04-10 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Allen R. Guenther brings an evangelical believers church perspective to the study of two eighth-century B.C. prophets. He explores theological and practical implications of their message, which he applies to the contemporary church. This work compares Israel’s distinctive religion, influenced by Baal-worshiping Phoenician neighbors, with faith in Judah. In his own marriage, Hosea dramatizes God’s redeeming love. Amos’s exposure of shallow piety and injustice brings him into confrontation with the official priest at Bethel. For both prophets, the Lord’s judgment is to lead on to repentance and restoration.
Download or read book Hosea’s God written by Mason D. Lancaster and published by SBL Press. This book was released on 2023-08-11 with total page 307 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book of Hosea is a labyrinth of juxtaposed images for God and God’s people, with such disparate metaphors as God the devouring lion and God the reviving dew. In Hosea’s God: A Metaphorical Theology, Mason D. Lancaster demonstrates that recent advances in metaphor theory help untangle these divergent portrayals of God. He analyzes fifteen metaphor clusters in Hosea 4–14 individually, then discerns patterns and reversals between the clusters. Finally, respecting the ancient value for emphasizing individual aspects of a depiction over a homogenized picture of the whole, the book identifies five characteristics of God prominent among the metaphors of Hosea. Based on this analysis, Lancaster asserts that Hosea’s metaphorical depiction of Yahweh ultimately derives from the primacy of Yahweh’s fidelity to Israel.
