This book was released on 1994 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE TRAVAIL PORTE SUR L'ANALYSE DES IMAGES CARDIAQUES OBTENUES PAR ULTRASONS. DANS CETTE ETUDE, NOUS ABORDONS LES TROIS ASPECTS SUIVANT: RECONNAISSANCE DE FORMES, MOBILITE, ET CARACTERISATION. LA RECONNAISSANCE DES PAROIS CARDIAQUES EST REALISEE AVEC DES MODELES PARAMETRIQUES QUI S'ADAPTENT A L'ANATOMIE DES CAVITES CARDIAQUES. UN MODELE ELLIPSOIDAL A 4 PARAMETRES EST SUFFISANT POUR RECONNAITRE L'EPICARDE SUR LA VUE PARSTERNALE AXE COURT ET UN MODELE DE TYPE SPLINE A 10 PARAMETRES SUFFIT POUR L'ENDOCARDE SUR LA VUE APICALE DE 4 CHAMBRES. UN ALGORITHME GENETIQUE FAIT EVOLUER UN ENSEMBLE DE SOLUTIONS INITIALES CHOISIES DE FACON ALEATOIRE JUSQU'A OBTENIR UNE POPULATION HAUTEMENT SPECIALISEE A PARTIR DE LAQUELLE UNE SOLUTION OPTIMALE EST SELECTIONNEE. LA ROBUSTESSE DE LA METHODE EST DEMONTREE DANS DES CONDITIONS D'IMAGES TYPIQUES D'ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIE: DES IMAGES PEU CONTRASTEES, NOYEES DANS LE BRUIT ET OU LES PAROIS SONT PARTIELLEMENT TRONQUEES. L'ETUDE DE LA MOBILITE EST BASEE SUR LES METHODES DE CHAMPS DE VITESSE ET LA MISE EN CORRESPONDANCE. A PARTIR DE CES METHODES, ON EXTRAIT LE MOUVEMENT DES PAROIS AU COURS DU CYCLE CARDIAQUE, AINSI ON OBTIENT LA DISTRIBUTION SPATIALE DU DEPLACEMENT DES PAROIS CARDIAQUES. ON ACCEDE A LA VISUALISATION, IMPOSSIBLE DANS LE MODE M, EN UTILISANT UNE INTERPOLATION TEMPORELLE BASEE SUR LES CHAMPS DE VITESSE. L'ETUDE DE LA MOBILITE BASEE SUR LA TECHNIQUE DE MISE EN CORRESPONDANCE 1D EST UTILISEE POUR OBTENIR LA FORME TEMPORELLE DU MOUVEMENT DES PAROIS. LA CARACTERISATION DES TISSUS EST L'ASPECT LE PLUS DIFFICILE ET DE PLUS GRANDE IMPORTANCE. L'OBJECTIF DU TRAVAIL EN CARACTERISATION EST CENTRE SUR LA RECHERCHE DES PARAMETRES DE TEXTURE QUI VARIENT AU RYTHME DU CYCLE CARDIAQUE MALGRE LE BRUIT PRESENT DANS L'IMAGE ET CELUI IMPLIQUE PAR LA METHODE. ON OBTIENT AINSI DES PARAMETRES DEDUITS DES BI-DIFFERENCES ET DE L'ANALYSE DANS LE PLAN FREQUENTIEL BASEE SUR LES FILTRES DE GABOR

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a concise overview of cardiac electrophysiology for cardiologists who are not electrophysiologists and for allied cardiovascular professionals, cardiology registrars and fellows who are new to the field. It familiarises them with the main procedures performed in the electrophysiology laboratory. Emphasis is placed on helping the reader develop a core understanding of how data is collected and interpreted in the electrophysiology laboratory, and how this is used to guide ablation for the commonest arrhythmias including AV nodal re-entry tachycardia, accessory pathways, atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias. Decoding Cardiac Electrophysiology: Understanding the Techniques and Defining the Jargon will translate some of the technical terminology and data frequently used by electrophysiologists into terms and concepts familiar to the wider cardiovascular community. This includes the interpretation of electrograms and 3D electro-anatomical maps of common arrhythmias. Accordingly, it offers a valuable resource for all non-electrophysiologists seeking a guide to the topic and for electrophysiology trainees establishing their core knowledge and skills in the field. The aim is that this should be the first book anyone new to the field should choose to read.

This book was released on 2006 with total page 584 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deals with a wide class of novel and efficient adaptive signal processing techniques developed to restore signals from noisy and degraded observations. These signals include those acquired from still or video cameras, electron microscopes, radar, X-rays, or ultrasound devices, and are used for various purposes, including entertainment, medical, business, industrial, military, civil, security, and scientific. In many cases useful information and high quality must be extracted from the imaging. However, often raw signals are not directly suitable for this purpose and must be processed in some way. Such processing is called signal reconstruction. This book is devoted to a recent and original approach to signal reconstruction based on combining two independent ideas: local polynomial approximation and the intersection of confidence interval rule.

Book excerpt: Measurement of Cardiac Deformations from MRI: Physical and Mathematical Models describes the latest imaging and imag analysis techniques that have been developed at leading centers for the visualization, analysis, and understanding of normal and abnormal cardiac motion with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The use of MRI in measuring cardiac motion is particularly important because MRI is non-invasive, and it is the only modality capable of imaging detailed intramural motion within the myocardium. Biomedical engineers, medical physicists, computer scientists, and physicians interested in learning about the latest advances in cardiovascular MRI should find this book to be a valuable educational resource. In particular, it is more tutorial in nature than most of the technical papers where the research was originally published. Practitioners and researchers working in the field of cardiovascular MRI will find the book to be filled with practical technical details and references to other work, enabling the implementation of existing methods and serving as a basis for further research in the area.
