Si l'axe directeur de l'exposé repose sur la présentation du modèle informatique implanté dans le logiciel SATO, il présente aussi de multiples recherches et applications dans leur contexte historique et théorique. On y voit à l'oeuvre des méthodologies d'analyse textuelle destinées à bâtir des lectures-explicitations du discours attesté par des corpus de recherche. Ces lectures se fondent sur la construction de dispositifs expérimentaux explicites qui enrichissent le texte d'annotations multiples. Ces annotations exploitent une représentation des corpus qui permet une interaction entre le vocabulaire du corpus, l'axe lexical, et son déploiement en contexte sur l'axe syntagmatique représentant l'organisation en énoncés. La thèse présente une extension du modèle sous forme d'annotations structurelles permettant de rendre compte de l'organisation du discours comme un entrelacs de relations diverses.
