However the author avoids the sensational and writes to touch the reader¿s heart with important biblical information. He explains Bible prophecy and current and future events from a biblical Hebraic world view rather than a traditional Western cultural world view. This book is prophetic in its explanations, tone, and urgency. In addition to explaining prophetic events, the author provides instructions on how to prepare for and serve God in the end times. As such, this book is a ¿Watchman call, "and a spiritual manual for holy living in a changing world. Here are some of the critical subjects the book addresses: Ten signs of the coming of the Lord The nations in prophecy America in prophecy Preparing for the end times Serving God in the end times

In a dialogue with the best of Christian tradition, the natural sciences’ conjectures of the “end,” as well as Islam’s rich teaching on the doctrine of the Last Things, a fresh constructive eschatology is recommended. While based on wide and deep academic learning, the conversational style of the book makes it suitable for various kinds of audiences, from pastors, to students, to scholars, and to interested lay folks.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of the doctrine of creation primarily as relating to the world's origins. In The Beginning and End of All Things, Edward W. Klink III presents a more holistic understanding of creation—a story that is unfolded throughout all of Scripture and is at the core of the gospel itself. From beginning to end, the theme of creation and new creation not only directs the movement of the entire biblical story but also unifies its message. Klink explores the goodness of the physical world and how it will be perfected in the new creation of heaven and earth. Along with offering rich insights about God and his purposes for the world, a biblical theology of creation guides how we engage nature, culture, and life as embodied beings. Essential Studies in Biblical Theology (ESBT), edited by Benjamin L. Gladd, explore the central or essential themes of the Bible's grand storyline. Taking cues from Genesis 1–3, authors trace the presence of these themes throughout the entire sweep of redemptive history. Written for students, church leaders, and laypeople, the ESBT offers an introduction to biblical theology.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The easiest way to deal with false doctrine is to affirm its absolute opposite. Unfortunately, this opposite affirmation is often no less erroneous than the false doctrine against which it reacts -- sometimes, it is worse. Most conservative Christians in the twentieth century have been obsessed with "the last days." An absolute opposite answer has recently emerged in the form of what C. Jonathin Seraiah terms "pantelism," the view that all final events had taken place by the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D.70. With one feel swoop, this viewpoint eviscerates dispensationalism. Unfortunately, it also undermines orthodox Christianity. In the present work, C. Jonathin Seraiah ferrets out the leading flaws of pantelism (the so called "consistent preterism") and reinforces the accuracy of the orthodox understanding of eschatology-the future physical Second Advent of Christ, physical resurrection of just and unjust, and final judgment. The author shows that the leading biblical texts that pantelists employ to buttress their position do not in fact support it and that other texts flatly refute it. He observes, moreover, that pantelism is not a marginally falwed interpretation; rather, it subverts and restructures the Faith itself. This book is essential reading for those interested in a biblically grounded and historically informed eschatology.

Then there are those who simply take what they want, leaving Carly and Justin with no choice but to defend what is theirs. But their journey is not without joy and love. Despite the perils of bringing a child into a world of chaos, their baby is a new beginning for themselves and a symbol of hope for the other survivors they find along the way. This is the story of their journey to find a place to begin a new life, and a home in each other.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Praise for The End of All Things:Not only does Lissa Bryan tell a convincing end of the world as we know it story, but also a wonderfully emotional romance -- Sandra from My Fiction NookYes, an end of the world romance TOTALLY works -- Sandi LayneI love, love, love this book. Have reread it 3 times. It's a love story, survival story and action adventure all in one. -- Karen Jenkins The End of All Things was a lovely surprise. I'm a fan of dystopia and post-apocalyptic novels, but Lissa Bryan happened to do something different. She brought love to the forefront, weaving relationships and romance with an end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it into an overall theme of the things taken for granted. -- Raina at The LUV'NV blogBut this isn't just a story of two people who find love in the unlikeliest people and places. This story is also about survival and the difficult decisions people have to make to ensure it. --Amy, GoodreadsThe End of All Things is more about hope and second chances, and I very much enjoyed the tale .... highly recommended for all fans of apocalyptic fiction. It's a well-written book with excellent pace, plot, and best, it has real soul.-- Jade Kerrion, GoodreadsI am not usually fond of The End of the World As We Know It books, but this book was so much more than a post apocalypse story. It contained adventure, mystery, sadness and a truly sweet romance. --Pamela, Goodreads

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We're all going to die. Yet in our medically advanced, technological age, many of us see death as a distant reality--something that happens only at the end of a long life or to other people. In The End of the Christian Life, Todd Billings urges Christians to resist that view. Instead, he calls us to embrace our mortality in our daily life and faith. This is the journey of genuine discipleship, Billings says: following the crucified and resurrected Lord in a world of distraction and false hopes. Drawing on his experience as a professor and father living with incurable cancer, Billings offers a personal yet deeply theological account of the gospel's expansive hope for small, mortal creatures. Artfully weaving rich theology with powerful narrative, Billings writes for church leaders and laypeople alike. Whether we are young or old, reeling from loss or clinging to our own prosperity, this book challenges us to walk a strange but wondrous path: in the midst of joy and lament, to receive mortal limits as a gift, an opportunity to give ourselves over to the Lord of life.
