Book excerpt: Ever since the Loveborne virus wiped out half of humanity decades ago, people steer clear of each other. Twenty-four-year-old Alias Novar is no exception. He lives alone in a windowless apartment with a robot he fixed himself, working two remote jobs and barely earning enough to eat, let alone take care of his sick mother. He’s a great runner, but he can’t outrun the half-life he leads, enslaved to fear. He also can’t keep paying hospital bills on his meager salary. When a lucrative but risky job opportunity presents itself, he’s desperate enough to apply—even if his prospective employer is none other than Deon Dehive. Everyone knows Mr. Dehive. He’s the business mogul whose mysterious offices lie in the woods outside of New York. And unlike most, he encourages social interactions, claiming that people have gained security with antivirals but haven’t regained what they need most: each other. Miraculously, Alias gets hired as Mr. Dehive’s personal assistant. From a technical standpoint, the job’s easy enough. It’s the constant interactions that keep him on edge. Deon’s teasing smiles and challenging questions reveal kindness and a keen interest that Alias shouldn’t return but is helpless to deny. And therein lies danger. Medicine may have come a long way, but love still kills.
Book Synopsis The Challenge of Making Aliya to Aretz Israel Because It Was Never Really a Dull Moment by : Clifford Hampson
Download or read book The Challenge of Making Aliya to Aretz Israel Because It Was Never Really a Dull Moment written by Clifford Hampson and published by Partridge Publishing Singapore. This book was released on 2018-03-16 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is projected mainly about Israel, which I sincerely believe would greatly open your eyes with regard to anything you didnt know about this country. I decided to call it the challenge of Aliyah, or emigration, because of the number of challenges or developments that occurred during my seventeen years in the Middle East. There were many periods when the adventures were so pulsating that there was never really a dull or boring moment with little or nothing to do. Not only is this book designed to blow your brains to bits, but this is the novel of novels, which once you pick it up, then you wont be able to put it down until its finished. It should also be clearly stressed that just before I began writing this epic saga, as to the genuine and true spiritual meaning combined with religious/cultural values. My thoughts, in being the second generation from the Nazi Holocaust in Europe are genuine to the core. However, this is not emphasized in any way as being defined like a national or international hero. This situation, I sincerely hope will develop in a positive manner, way beyond into the future: Amen.

This book was released on 2024-07-18 with total page 358 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Aliya's Dream - A Story of Awakening" is a book for all those who are on a journey of awakening, seeking answers to that most important of questions, who am I. For those who want to discover the meaning of their existence, want to better understand themselves, the way they create reality. Perhaps they feel saturated with earthly experiences and already hear the call of their Soul, which invites them to discover their depths. Describing my own process of awakening to enlightenment, I show characteristic stages, challenges and discoveries. I share the stories and wisdom that led me to recall my true divine nature. This is a sincere, inspiring story about the search for the Holy Grail, which turned out to be my own Soul. I wrote it so that everyone can know his true nature, awaken the Master he already is, leave limitations and start living for the sheer joy of life. On my way to enlightenment I was accompanied by Ascended Masters Adamus Saint Germain, Tobias, Kuthumi and Crystal Dragon. During your reading they will be with you as well. "Aliya's Dream - A Story of Awakening" is available in paperback and e-book versions in 14 languages. The e-book contains more than 100 illustrations, including Aliya's paintings and photos from her fabulous travels around the world. Here are some of the topics covered: - The stages and challenges of the process of awakening to enlightenment - The origins of our origin and the creation of the world - Why are we here ? - What is energy and consciousness - How we create reality - The illusion of time and space - Reincarnation - Ayahuasca - Energy games - Releasing ancestors, conditioning, karma - Healing process - Integration of aspects - Integration of the light body - Dragons and Ascended Masters Shaumbra - Acceptance, Trust, Wisdom and Love - Experiencing Self as pure consciousness - Enlightenment Alija Ariana Karima is a spiritual guide, soul painter, healer, pioneer of Vedic Art painting courses in Poland, Soul Body Fusion practitioner and teacher, lecturer, author and traveler. Privately, she is a happy mom who loves the magic of life. *** "One of the five most beautiful books I have read." - Annette "I've already read a zillion books on development, spirituality and awakening, and this one still surprised me. I can't tear myself away from it. I don't know if it's because it was written by my Vedic Art teacher and I happened to know some of the people and events described here - that's why it's such a great read? Is it because I can feel with every cell of my body what Alija is writing about? Is it that I can additionally look at and admire her paintings, of which there are plenty in the book? But is it the unique way she framed the theme of Awakening? Is it me being at a different stage again? Or can you put it all together? The fact of the matter is that I think the book is brilliant, and I am extremely grateful that it was created." - Magdalena B. "This book is revelatory in every way. I recommend it to everyone on the path of awakening."- Joanna K. "I read it in one breath. Your insights are amazing. Your book pointed out a great deal to me. Wonderful that you wrote it. I will keep coming back to it." - Marzena

Download or read book Aliya written by Liel Leibovitz and published by St. Martin's Press. This book was released on 2013-12-17 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: a·li·ya, n., also aliyah. pl. aliyas or aliyot. The immigration of Jews into Israel. Why would American Jews---not just materially successful in this country but perhaps for the first time in the two-thousand-year Jewish Diaspora truly socially accepted and at home---choose to leave the material comforts, safety, and peace of the United States for the uncertainty and violence of Israel? Still, aliya is a phenomenon that affects all American Jews. Understanding this phenomenon means understanding what is arguably the fundamental question of American Jewry; it is that question that Liel Leibovitz sets out to answer in Aliya. Leibovitz focuses on the stories of three generations of immigrants. Marlin and Betty Levin, searching for excitement and ideology, traveled to Palestine before Israel was even created. There, with Marlin working as a reporter and Betty volunteering with the Jewish underground movement, the two witnessed the bloody birth of the Jewish state. Two decades later, Mike Ginsberg, overcome with awe at the heroic Jews who fought for their country in the l967 war, immigrated as well and was involved in much of Israel's tumultuous history, including the Yom Kippur War. He was a member of Kibbutz Misgav Am during the famous terrorist attack on the infants' nursery there, and he helped repel numerous waves of terrorists attacks on his kibbutz. Finally, Danny and Sharon Kalker and their children left their home in Queens, New York, to move to a West Bank settlement in 2001, during one of the most unsettled phases in Israel's existence. With a keen writer's eye and unfeigned passion for his subject, Leibovitz explores the fears, hopes, and dreams of the American-Jewish immigrants to Israel and the journey they undertook, a journey that lies at the very heart of what it means to be a Jew.
