Der - im Optimalfall - schützende Rahmen der Familie ist in der Betreuung im Kindergarten nicht mehr gegeben. Das Kind muss somit in Anpassung an die neue Umgebung die eigene soziale Kompetenz erweitern und festigen. Zu den Entwicklungsaufgaben, die im Kindergartenalter bewältigt werden müssen, zählen neben dem Erlangen einer gewissen Selbstständigkeit in den profanen Dingen des Alltags, wie beispielsweise das selbstständige Anziehen nach dem Mittagsschlaf ganz klar auch die Sprachentwicklung und die Fähigkeit der klaren Ausformulierung eigener Bedürfnisse. Diese kognitiven Ausdifferenzierungen fördern nach Koglin und Petermann die Aufmerksamkeitsleistung und Merkfähigkeit des Kindes und tragen zu einer verbesserten Phantasietätigkeit bei, die dem Kind in Spielsituationen zugute kommt. Einige Kinder jedoch scheinen diesen neuen Anforderungen jedoch nicht gewachsen zu sein oder ihnen gelingt die Anpassung an die neue Lebenssituation nicht so leicht, wie es bei anderen Kinder der Fall ist. Sie fallen durch ein schwieriges Temperament auf und stellen Erzieherinnen und Eltern vor Herausforderungen, die viel Geduld und Verständnis erfordern, jedoch mit pädagogischem Geschick durchaus gefördert werden können. Ein kleiner Teil erfordert jedoch so viel Aufmerksamkeit, dass dies in einer normalen Betreuung kaum zu schaffen ist. Diese Kinder können unter einem der im Folgenden dargestellten Störungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter gehören und sollten so früh wie möglich entsprechend ihrer Defizite gefördert werden.

Mein Interesse richtet sich schwerpunktmässig auf die Störungen im Kindesalter. Im ersten Teil und als einer der wichtigsten Punkte dieser Arbeit möchte ich die Begriffsbestimmungen von Dissozialität, Delinquenz und Verwahrlosung näher erläutern. Mit exakten Umschreibungen und Fallbeispielen sollen diese Begriffe klar gegeneinander abgegrenzt werden. Anschliessend werden die Begriffe "Verhaltensauffälligkeit" und "Verhaltensstörungen" definiert und diskutiert. Danach wird kurz auf die Klassifikation nach ICD-10 sowie auf die Differenzialdiagnose eingegangen. Der letzte Punkt der Störungen des Sozialverhaltens im Kindesalter bildet die Ätiologie und Epidemiologie. Im zweiten Teil dieser Hausarbeit sollen die Störungen im Jugendalter zusammenfassend erläutert werden. Der Schwerpunkt liegt vor allem auf dem klinischen Teil und den Therapie - und Behandlungsmethoden. Ich versuche einen Einblick in die verschiedenen Interventionskonzepte zu geben. Dabei soll eine kombinierte Behandlung an einem Fallbeispiel genauer aufgezeigt werden. Zum Thema Störungen des Sozialverhaltens wird in einer Fülle von Büchern beschrieben. Book excerpt: The subject of the apallic syndrome is one which has long been familiar to me, although I have not personally studied it as deeply as I would have wished. I became acquainted with this syndrome long before the last war, when my neurosurgical colleague Hugh Cairns (1952), made his pioneer contribution under the term "akinetic mutism" . This was an ar resting title, but it was one which did not altogether satisfy some of his colleagues, includ ing myself. We found it difficult to suggest an alternative. That is one reason why I wel come the expression "apallic syndrome" . Forensic practice has forced me from time to time to consider rather more deeply this distressing syndrome, and to try and marshal my ideas in a form which would satisfy my colleagues in the legal profession. More than once I have been instructed to make a medico legal assessment of these unfortunate patients. The points which have concerned my lawyer friends have not been matters of diagnosis, or of morbid anatomy, or of etiology. The fac tual problem which has been put before me was to make some approximate assessment as to the expectation of life. Vague guess-work is unacceptable in such circumstances. What the lawyers require is a precise and dogmatic answer.
