Download or read book AD 2036 Is The End written by Christian Jacobsen and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2008-03 with total page 632 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did you know that the exact year of Jesus' crucifixion was predicted over five hundred years before His birth? Did you know that a similar prophecy predicts the exact year of Jesus' return to earth? In fact, the timing of the Second Coming of Christ is foreshadowed in no less than eleven places in the scriptures. These timelines all point to the end of human history within this generation. Although the Bible teaches that "no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen," (Mark 13:32) it says nothing about not knowing the year. Faithful Christians most certainly ".won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes," (1 Thessalonians 5:4) rather, they will ".see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25) This book reveals that the Glorious Day will occur within three and a half years of AD 2036. CHRIST HAS DIED! CHRIST IS RISEN! CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN!

Download or read book The Time of the End written by Tim Warner and published by Createspace Independent Pub. This book was released on 2012-12-18 with total page 358 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The date when Christ's Kingdom will come to earth has been the "Holy Grail" of biblical prophecy since Daniel first inquired. Countless Christians have diligently searched for this hidden treasure. It has escaped the meticulous, chronological study of Sir Isaac Newton and the tomfoolery of Harold Camping. The earliest Christians did not believe, as do most modern Christians, that the date of Christ's return is completely out of reach. They held an eschatology called, "Chiliasm," a view that saw all of human history as a "week" of seven millennia, with the seventh millennium being the coming Kingdom of Christ on earth. This view seems to have been unanimously taught by those who had close connections to the Apostle John. Knowing the year of Jesus' second coming was merely a matter of putting together a biblical chronology from creation. This process would yield the date of His coming in the 6000th year from creation. This book first demonstrates that Chiliasm is both biblical and apostolic. It follows Chiliasm's history and demise, as Amillennialism displaced it from the fourth century onward. Having demonstrated that the Millennial Week theory is correct, the author shows why the early Christian chronologies failed. He then presents his own complete biblical chronology, from creation to the second coming of Christ, drawn exclusively from the data in the Hebrew Bible. This chronology is developed using the Jubilee calendar grid that God gave to Israel, but they never actually followed. Placing the biblical chronological data on this calendar grid yields an amazing symmetry to the biblical historical record, and a number of remarkable coincidences, such as: 1. The death of Noah and birth of Abraham were in the 2000th year from creation, on the 40th Jubilee year. 2. The Exodus from Egypt was in the 2500th year from creation, the 50th Jubilee year (A Jubilee of Jubilees). 3. The decree of Cyrus the Great ending the 70-year Babylonian exile was the year 3500 from creation, the 70th Jubilee year (a double fulfillment of Jeremiah's "70 years" prophecy). The biblical chronology presented here is completely unique. It is the original research of the author over a period of many years, presented in a concise way, with over 500 footnotes for reference purposes. It shows that we are only about two decades away from the "TIME of the END."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When is Christ returning? Is it soon as many prophecy experts predict? Can you even really know? Since the Bible provided an accurate timeline for Christ’s first arrival, it seems possible that scripture would also identify when His second coming will occur. A study of the dates and times provided in scripture provides a different and unique look at when and how God may unfold the events of Daniel’s 70th week and the return of Christ.

Download or read book Surprised by Hope written by N. T. Wright and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2008-02-05 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For years Christians have been asking, "If you died tonight, do you know where you would go?" It turns out that many believers have been giving the wrong answer. It is not heaven. Award-winning author N. T. Wright outlines the present confusion about a Christian's future hope and shows how it is deeply intertwined with how we live today. Wright, who is one of today's premier Bible scholars, asserts that Christianity's most distinctive idea is bodily resurrection. He provides a magisterial defense for a literal resurrection of Jesus and shows how this became the cornerstone for the Christian community's hope in the bodily resurrection of all people at the end of the age. Wright then explores our expectation of "new heavens and a new earth," revealing what happens to the dead until then and what will happen with the "second coming" of Jesus. For many, including many Christians, all this will come as a great surprise. Wright convincingly argues that what we believe about life after death directly affects what we believe about life before death. For if God intends to renew the whole creation—and if this has already begun in Jesus's resurrection—the church cannot stop at "saving souls" but must anticipate the eventual renewal by working for God's kingdom in the wider world, bringing healing and hope in the present life. Lively and accessible, this book will surprise and excite all who are interested in the meaning of life, not only after death but before it.
Book Synopsis A New Heaven and a New Earth by : J. Richard Middleton
Download or read book A New Heaven and a New Earth written by J. Richard Middleton and published by Baker Academic. This book was released on 2014-11-25 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years, more and more Christians have come to appreciate the Bible's teaching that the ultimate blessed hope for the believer is not an otherworldly heaven; instead, it is full-bodied participation in a new heaven and a new earth brought into fullness through the coming of God's kingdom. Drawing on the full sweep of the biblical narrative, J. Richard Middleton unpacks key Old Testament and New Testament texts to make a case for the new earth as the appropriate Christian hope. He suggests its ethical and ecclesial implications, exploring the difference a holistic eschatology can make for living in a broken world.
Download or read book Rapture written by David Currie and published by Sophia Institute Press. This book was released on 2003-07-31 with total page 513 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The end-times error that leaves the Bible behind! Author David Currie grew up convinced that one day all true Christians will suddenly be snatched up to heaven. The unfortunate souls left behind by this "rapture" will endure seven horrible years of tribulation, at the end of which Christ will return to earth for a glorious thousand-year reign. Today, millions of Christians accept this end-times theology, assuming - as Currie did -- that the Bible clearly teaches it. Many plan their whole lives around it. But, after studying Scripture for decades, Currie has come to see that if you accept the Bible, you have to reject the rapture. In these remarkable pages - which constitute the world's most careful and thorough scriptural study of the rapture - Currie demonstrates why. He considers all the relevant verses (and there are hundreds!) and examines them in the light of ancient history, the writings of the earliest Christians, and the claims of rapturist theologians. With painstaking thoroughness, he unlocks the meanings of the key biblical prophecies that culminate in Christ's Messianic Kingdom - including those verses in Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation that rapturists turn to most. Marshalling evidence that's as startling as it is compelling, Currie argues that these prophecies of war and tribulation don't point to some still-unrealized apocalyptic future. Rather, most of them were fulfilled long ago: the spiritual, priestly Kingdom prefigured in the Old Testament was inaugurated on Calvary, consummated in 70 A.D. with the destruction of the Temple, and continues to exist today . . . in the Catholic Church! That may surprise you. Yet, shows Currie, it's the only conclusion that fits all the scriptural and historical evidence. Rapture: The End-Times Error That Leaves the Bible Behind makes Scripture, prophecy, and history come alive; and it demonstrates that if you open your Bible, you'll find that God's plan for the future of the world is not filled with darkness and disaster, but with light, mercy, and hope. "We can all learn much from David Currie, not only from what he says, which is wise, but from how he says it, which is Catholic and Christian." From the Foreword by Scott Hahn. Special features: Over 1,300 references to Scripture, the early Church Fathers, authors and events in ancient history, and contemporary rapturist theologians Ten detailed timelines relating biblical prophecy to key historical events The biblical case for the rapture (showing why so many accept it) A survey of the thoughts of the early Church Fathers about the end-times A history of the development of rapturist theories, showing how this heresy has been refuted time and again by the Church A short course in the proper methods of reading Scripture A survey of end-times hypotheses from the first century through 9/11/2001 Nine ground rules you must follow if you are to make sense of biblical prophecy and relate it to salvation history A 10-page annotated bibliography of rapturist sources ancient and new Plus, much more to help you understand and evaluate the claims of rapturists Among the sources cited: Julius Africanus • St. Athanasius • St. Augustine • Pope Benedict XV • Andreas of Cappadocia • St. Clement of Alexandria • G.
