The book closes, with the spotlight on their present involvement in Ghana, West Africa, where they lead medical/outreach teams, build churches and schools, bore fresh water wells, and hold leadership seminars. They were appointed Chief and Queen Mother in the Broang Ahafo Region by the King, Ohmahene Okatakayie Kodom IV, in 2001. Today, they are blessed with much remaining fruit, in both the low places of the streets, to the palaces of Kings, to God be the Glory!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rhetorical scholarship has found rich source material in the disciplines of advertising, communications research, and consumer behavior. Advertising, considered as a kind of communication, is distinguished by its focus on causing action. Its goal is not simply to communicate ideas, educate, or persuade, but to move a prospect closer to a purchase. The editors of "Go Figure! New Directions in Advertising Rhetoric" have been involved in developing the scholarship of advertising rhetoric for many years. In this volume they have assembled the most current and authoritative new perspectives on this topic. The chapter authors all present previously unpublished concepts that represent advances beyond what is already known about advertising rhetoric. In the opening and closing chapters editors Ed McQuarrie and Barbara Phillips provide an integrative view of the current state of the art in advertising rhetoric

As with prior editions, this edition is built on a solid behavioral foundation. The authors' conviction is that advertising, trade promotion, consumer promotion, personal selling, direct marketing, public relations and publicity, and corporate advertising are all component parts of one integrated promotional mix. Today, most other authors and marketing practitioners also advocate this integrated marketing communication approach. The book presents numerous practical, real-world examples, illustration, advertisements and cases and has been thoroughly updated and expanded to include topics of greatest importance to today's students and marketing practitioners. -- Description from http://www.amazon.ca (August 28, 2012).

Integrated Marketing Communication: Creating Spaces for Engagement explores how IMC can open up spaces for engagement in our classrooms and our communities. The breadth of the contributors is in the spirit of IMC, examining public and private sector organizations that offer products and services while relying on various methodologies and theoretical approaches, with particular emphasis on rhetoric, philosophy of communication, qualitative research, and historical perspectives in IMC. Moreover, each chapter considers IMC from a different communicative perspective, including strategic communication, philosophy of communication, rhetorical theory, health communication, crisis and risk communication, communication theory, and mass communication.

=========== Yves Poullet has not merely served but excelled in all functions of the University world. Whether as professor, researcher, director of a research centre or as dean and rector, he has left a lasting impression in the minds of generations of students, researchers, colleagues and peers. He is a preeminent expert on the law of Internet and Information and Communications Technologies who, already in 1979, pioneered one of the first European research centres in the field. This volume is a tribute to Yves Poullet from colleagues, friends, former PhD researchers, offering their reflections on the reciprocal influence of law and technology. These contributions highlight both the range of expertise and the extent of the European and international networks he has nourished. They address the three main research axes Yves Poullet has developed through the years: law, norms and freedoms. The authors of this volume pay homage to a mentor, a friend, but above all to an exceptional researcher who has sown countless seeds in the field, enabling a luxurious landscape to grow and become a source of inspiration for many scholars. This is the heritage of a genuine thinker, a real academic.

In Digital Labour and Karl Marx, Christian Fuchs attempts to answer that question, crafting a systematic critical theorisation of labour as performed in the capitalist ICT industry. Relying on a range of global case studies--from unpaid social media prosumers or Chinese hardware assemblers at Foxconn to miners in the Democratic Republic of Congo--Fuchs sheds light on the labour costs of digital media, examining the way ICT corporations exploit human labour and the impact of this exploitation on the lives, bodies, and minds of workers.

Book excerpt: Marketing Management challenges the traditional view of marketing as a function, considering it instead as a series of processes pervading the entire organization and involving most personnel as part-time marketers. The authors argue that every company or institution must manage four main processes: strategic positioning, market intelligence, value creation and value generation. Adopting a global approach, the book focuses on value creation and introduces students to the tools of the marketing mix in a process oriented manner. New to this edition: - New coverage of technology applications and developments and B2B marketing - Consistent focus on value creation throughout - More examples to illustrate theory - Enhanced pedagogy including long case studies and exercises in every chapter With its unique approach and international coverage, this book is essential reading for advanced undergraduate and postgraduate students of Marketing Management and will also appeal to MBA and other post-experience students.
