These poetic Mausoleums have become a signature of his soulful vision – across mirage of life. A Passionate hug a passionate hug, I hear your heart, your heartbeat, the chirp of your soul. Lovebird sings. I hear mine too. Through soft music, song of souls. Lovebirds sing. Together we hear the Symphony of millions, the music of souls. Echo of spirits, deep in and out, vibrate in rhythm, love boundless. In the ocean of love, one with the cosmos, we merge in every atom, one soul; one song. I embrace, merging in oneness. I breathe in breathe out. Turning into a dream, I fly high, and as I float, my wings cover the entire universe. We disappear in subtle softness. When you call I reverberate, from silence the world around replies to my wish! End my monologue.

Book excerpt: Court of Lions is the long-awaited second and final installment in the “smart, sexy, and devilishly clever” Mirage series by Somaiya Daud (Renée Ahdieh, New York Times bestselling author of The Beautiful)! On a planet on the brink of revolution, Amani has been forced into isolation. She’s been torn from the boy she loves and has given up contact with her fellow rebels to protect her family. In taking risks for the rebel cause, Amani may have lost Maram’s trust forever. But the princess is more complex than she seems, and now Amani is once more at her capricious nature. One wrong move could see her executed for high treason. On the eve of Maram’s marriage to Idris comes an unexpected proposal: in exchange for taking her place in the festivities, Maram will keep Amani’s rebel associations a secret. Alone and desperate, Amani is thrust into the center of the court, navigating the dangerous factions on the princess's behalf. But the court is not what she expects. As a risky plan grows in her mind, and with the rebels poised to make their stand, Amani begins to believe her world might have a future. But every choice she makes comes with a cost. Can Amani risk the ones she loves the most for a war she's not sure she can win?

She dreams of what life was like before the occupation; she dreams of writing poetry like the old-world poems she adores; she dreams of receiving a sign from Dihya that one day, she, too, will have adventure, and travel beyond her isolated home. But when adventure comes for Amani, it is not what she expects: she is kidnapped by the regime and taken in secret to the royal palace, where she discovers that she is nearly identical to the cruel half-Vathek Princess Maram. The princess is so hated by her conquered people that she requires a body double, someone to appear in public as Maram, ready to die in her place. As Amani is forced into her new role, she can’t help but enjoy the palace’s beauty—and her time with the princess’ fiancé, Idris. But the glitter of the royal court belies a world of violence and fear. If Amani ever wishes to see her family again, she must play the princess to perfection...because one wrong move could lead to her death.

But along the way, he meets with unexpected trials that waylay his dreams. Some people he encounters are cruel beyond his imagination, and he, on many occasions, barely escapes with his life. While most people are heartless, there are a few kind souls who have compassion for poor Erik. With their kindness, and Erik's undaunted courage, he surmounts all odds and continues toward his goal of unadulterated music. Join Erik on this second leg of his journey toward becoming known as the Phantom of the Opera.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the second of nine journeys in the "And There I Was" series. In 1991, through a chance meeting in Bangkok with an old CIA station chief and his retired French army counterpart, expeditions were arranged into Cambodia and Laos, both still reeling fifteen years on from the devastating effects of war and genocide. The author's route took him through Thailand's northern hill country, on to Cambodia and Laos and finally Nepal and India. Experience intensely profound moments in Laos and Cambodia, sit along the Mother Ganges in the holy city of Varanasi beneath billowing clouds of smoke from crematoriums and contemplate the path of life. Bear witness to Cambodia's horrific memorials to the genocide and take in the grandeur of Angkor Wat. Sit in a cave on the Mekong and explain to a Pathet Lao soldier why your country indiscriminately killed so many of his people. Die a slow death in an island bungalow on the Gulf of Thailand, feel the heart-wrenching anguish of a young girl's cremation and finally, the emotions evoked when setting one's eyes for the first time upon the Taj Mahal. DH Koester has been a farmhand, aerospace engineer, atomic physicist, vagabond, materials engineer, professional photographer, artist, furniture maker, writer and hobo. He holds degrees in both Physics and Mathematics and though a citizen of the United States, he spent seven years in the Canadian North.

Book excerpt: "Can there be a more flagrant challenge to the recent - and classic - relativisms, scepticisms and 'deconstructivisms' toward reason, rationality, logos than the Vision of the Manifestation of Life?" As Tymieniecka writes in the introduction to this second book on the constructive appreciation of reason (first book: Analecta Husserliana, Vol. XXXIX), the works of the logos manifest themselves indubitably in the edifice of life. Among perspectives in the compass of reason of this collection: individualisation of life, human existence, reason and doxa (studies by Tymieniecka, Kelkel, Schrag, Buscaroli, Kelly, Laycock, and others) the emphasis falls upon 'inner rationalities' of the spirit, creativity, culture (Bosio, D'Ippolito, Delle Site, Barral, Wittkowski, Regina, Haney, Ales Bello, Sivak, Elosequi), culminating in the issues of historiography and history by Mario Sancipriano, to whom the book is dedicated. This collection stems from the work of The World Phenomenology Institute, mainly its two congresses held in Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia, and Verona, Italy.

The story concerns the inhabitants of a provincial brothel who all depart on a train journey to witness the confirmation ceremony of the madame's niece. Henri René Albert Guy de Maupassant (5 August 1850 - 1893) was a French writer. He is considered a master of the story form, writing 300 during his life. He also produced six novels, three travel books, and one volume of verse. Other notable works by this author include: "Bel-Ami" (1885), "Pierre et Jean" (1888), and "Mademoiselle Fifi" (1883). Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.

This book was released on 2021-12-17 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the second of a pair of volumes publishing the unedited full reports of Schomburgk's travels in Guiana between 1835 and 1844, previously available only in greatly abridged and heavily edited versions. After his explorations in Guiana between 1835 and 1839 on behalf of the Royal Geographical Society, which are the subject of Volume I of The Guiana Travels of Robert Schomburgk 1835-1844, Robert Schomburgk travelled to London. He was appointed Her Majesty's Commissioner for Boundaries with the duty to survey the boundaries of British Guiana, hitherto undefined. His surveys between 1841 and 1843 consisted of three journeys. The first took him to the mouth of the Orinoco River, from where he traced the boundary south-westward to the Cuyuni River, before returning to Georgetown. The second journey involved the survey of the boundary with Brazil: first, south to the sources of the Takutu River; and then north to Mount Roraima. In the third he covered the boundary with Dutch Guiana (modern Surinam), which involved an arduous trip down the length of the Corentyne River. Schomburgk returned to London in 1844 and was knighted for his services. Volume II of The Guiana Travels contains his reports of these journeys. In abbreviated form they appeared in the Journal of the Royal Geographical Society. Here they are published in full, including the material censored by the Colonial Office, which mainly details abuses of the native population committed by Venezuelans and Brazilians. In an 'Epilogue' an account is provided of his later career. The volume also includes two appendices: a summary of the boundary disputes which arose as a result of Schomburgk's survey and a vocabulary of vernacular plant names.
