Book excerpt: Hahnemann Revisited - A Textbook of Classical Homeopathy For the Professional, has served as a guiding light for homeopaths around the world since publication in 1999, and has become the authoritative textbook for homeopathic education. It has been translated into seven languages and is a magnificent treatise covering Homeopathy's foundations, healing process, and the true hereditary factors in medicine - the chronic miasms. Written in an engaging style by a world renowned homeopath who has successfully practiced his art of medicine throughout both the industrialized and less developed countries of the world, this is the first complete, comprehensive modern homeopathic textbook. Some topics covered include: miasmatic prescribing, LM potencies, prioritizing symptoms, using the timeline, the "Never Well Since," case management, adjusting for hypersensitives, nosodes, constitutions, as well as an explanation of Homeopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is organized into: 25 chapters, 5 appendices (including forms for the practice, sample cases and an extensive chart of symptoms and their miasms), and includes 44 diagrams. Hahnemann Revisited provides its readers insights in the mind, body, and soul of the individual; detailing the true basis of health and dysfunction in the spirit Hahnemann intended. This textbook is timeless and will be groundbreaking for generations to come.

Download or read book Organon of Homoeopathic Medicine written by Samuel Hahnemann and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2019-06-19 with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Samuel Hahnemann was a German physician who created and introduced homeopathy, a system of alternative medicine which claims that a substance which causes diseases in some individuals can cure it in others. Writing in the early 19th century, Hahnemann set out the principles of homoeopathic medicine in a total of 297 aphorisms. Each of these discussed the various attributes of healing that underpin homeopathy as a method of curing. The notion of 'miasms' as the origin and cause of all chronic disease, and how such can be alleviated, is elaborated upon by the author. Today, homeopathy has been widely discredited, with its methodology and teachings contrasted with established discoveries in biology and chemistry. Numerous studies of homeopathy's efficacy have shown that the results of treatment are no better than placebo. In the 19th century however, its use was popular with Hahnemann himself contrasting his methods by terming conventional medicine 'allopathic'.
