Book Synopsis Aromatic C-nitroso Compounds by : Hrvoj Vančik
Download or read book Aromatic C-nitroso Compounds written by Hrvoj Vančik and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-12 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is designed to collect and review the research covering main directions in investigations of aromatic nitroso compounds in last decades, and to present both, the academic aspects of this chemistry, as well as the open field of its applicability. The book is divided in five chapters. The basic structural properties of the nitroso aromatic molecules are described in the first chapter. The second chapter is an overview of the methods of preparations of aromatic nitroso and polynitroso compounds, including classical synthetic methods and some new preparative approaches. The third part deals with the physico-chemical properties of nitroso aromates and azodioxides, its structure, crystallography, quantum chemical calculations, spectroscopy, typical reactions, and especially it is focused on the dimerizations in the solid-state. In the fourth chapter is represented organometallic chemistry of nitroso aromatic molecules and its applications in catalysis. The last part of the book deals with the behavior of this class of compounds in the biological systems, reactions with biomolecules and the use in toxicology.
Book Synopsis The Structures and Reactions of the Aromatic Compounds by : G. M. Badger
Download or read book The Structures and Reactions of the Aromatic Compounds written by G. M. Badger and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2011-07-21 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This 1954 book was the first to be devoted to the fundamental properties of the aromatic compounds as a whole. It describes the experimental and theoretical attempts to explain their structure and discusses their characteristic properties and the mechanism of their reactions. Heterocyclic compounds are included in Dr Badger's survey. Aromatic compounds are characterised by their cyclic molecular structure, their high degree of unsaturation and their stability. Coal tar is the chief source of aromatic compounds, but they are also made from crude oil and can be produced synthetically. Nearly all dyestuffs are 'aromatic', as are most of the common drugs and explosives. The book addressed itself primarily to graduates and final-year undergraduates. It was also of interest to research chemists in the dyestuffs, pharmaceutical and explosives industries. As some complex aromatic compounds produce cancer on the skin of laboratory animals, cancer research workers will also have found it relevant.

This book was released on 2017-08-23 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Metal ions play an important role in analytical chemistry, organometallic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, and materials chemistry. This book, Descriptive Inorganic Chemistry Researches of Metal Compounds, collects research articles, review articles, and tutorial description about metal compounds. To perspective contemporary researches of inorganic chemistry widely, the kinds of metal elements (typical and transition metals including rare earth; p, d, f-blocks) and compounds (molecular coordination compounds, ionic solid materials, or natural metalloenzyme) or simple substance (bulk, clusters, or alloys) to be focused are not limited. In this way, review chapters of current researches are collected in this book.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Class-tested and thoughtfully designed for student engagement, Principles of Organic Chemistry provides the tools and foundations needed by students in a short course or one-semester class on the subject. This book does not dilute the material or rely on rote memorization. Rather, it focuses on the underlying principles in order to make accessible the science that underpins so much of our day-to-day lives, as well as present further study and practice in medical and scientific fields. This book provides context and structure for learning the fundamental principles of organic chemistry, enabling the reader to proceed from simple to complex examples in a systematic and logical way. Utilizing clear and consistently colored figures, Principles of Organic Chemistry begins by exploring the step-by-step processes (or mechanisms) by which reactions occur to create molecular structures. It then describes some of the many ways these reactions make new compounds, examined by functional groups and corresponding common reaction mechanisms. Throughout, this book includes biochemical and pharmaceutical examples with varying degrees of difficulty, with worked answers and without, as well as advanced topics in later chapters for optional coverage. Incorporates valuable and engaging applications of the content to biological and industrial uses Includes a wealth of useful figures and problems to support reader comprehension and study Provides a high quality chapter on stereochemistry as well as advanced topics such as synthetic polymers and spectroscopy for class customization
