Book excerpt: USA Today bestseller Tiffany Reisz turns back the clock on her Original Sinners series to the Victorian era in this kinky Christmas romance… Two days before Christmas 1871, the newly-minted Baron Marcus Stearns returns to London for the reading of his long-estranged and much-despised father’s will, fully certain he will inherit nothing but the title. He receives the shock of his life when he learns that he and his sister Lady Claire will only inherit their late father’s vast estate if he marries—immediately. Kingsley, the Baron’s lover and devoted valet, offers a simple solution to a seemingly Herculean task—the Baron should simply marry his beautiful ward Eleanor. Yet while the Baron longs to do just that…he possesses a dangerous secret that threatens to destroy their marriage before it’s hardly begun. Written in the spirit of "Once More, With Feeling” (the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and “Atomic Shakespeare” (the legendary "Taming of the Shrew" episode of Moonlighting), comes A Midwinter Night's Dream, an Original Sinners Victorian Christmas novella.

Book excerpt: Nobel Laureate Desmond Tutu has long been admired throughout the world for the heroism and grace he exhibited while encouraging countless South Africans in their struggle for human rights. In God Has a Dream, his most soul-searching book, he shares the spiritual message that guided him through those troubled times. Drawing on personal and historical examples, Archbishop Tutu reaches out to readers of all religious backgrounds, showing how individual and global suffering can be transformed into joy and redemption. With his characteristic humor, Tutu offers an extremely personal and liberating message. He helps us to “see with the eyes of the heart” and to cultivate the qualities of love, forgiveness, humility, generosity, and courage that we need to change ourselves and our world. Echoing the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., he writes, “God says to you, ‘I have a dream. Please help me to realize it. It is a dream of a world whose ugliness and squalor and poverty, its war and hostility, its greed and harsh competitiveness, its alienation and disharmony are changed into their glorious counterparts. When there will be more laughter, joy, and peace, where there will be justice and goodness and compassion and love and caring and sharing. I have a dream that my children will know that they are members of one family, the human family, God’s family, my family.’” Addressing the timeless and universal concerns all people share, God Has a Dream envisions a world transformed through hope and compassion, humility and kindness, understanding and forgiveness.

This book was released on 2021-09-15 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you DREAM? Do you remember your DREAMS? Do you know the meaning of DREAMS? What do you do when you DREAM? This book answers and affirms that God speaks to mankind mostly through Dreams more than He used Angels in the Bible time and even now. God speaks plainly or in a in coded manner; and that Satan also attacks lives and destinies through dreams. It is therefore imperative for everyone to handle our dream life with every carefulness and caution. Dreams can be seen as fragile mysteries but, in most cases, it serves as a way out of challenging situation or circumstance. Every dream has its own source and there are three main sources of dreams, namely, dreams from God, dreams from Satan and dreams from our thoughts. It is however essential that we stress that anything that God unveils whether in a dream, vision or any other means that God communicates His mind to us must be in relevance with the scriptures. Dreams cannot take the place of Scriptures; hence, there is the need to prayerfully examine dreams and visions in line with what the Word of God states. A dream may relate to a past, present or future occurrence or events; and must not be handled with levity. It has been clarified from the scriptures that the living God uses dreams as a channel of communication with saints or sinners. God makes use of dream to warn, correct or expose mysteries to men. The Egyptian culture at that period have a belief that there is always a meaning and an interpretation for every dream. This belief system was exhibited by Pharaoh's cup bearer and his baker when they had dream in prison. Listed in the book are possible interpretations of certain dreams, through the help of the Holy Spirit. Attempts were made to capture many dream scenarios in terms of pictures, inanimate objects, etc., but you can get appropriate answers through prayers and the Almighty God will direct your steps on how to handle it because the unveiling of a dream comes with steps for effectiveness. Finally, it is pertinent to note that, Jesus came to DELIVER. One third of JESUS ministry is on Deliverance, to destroy your star hunters, to eject all evil tenants living in the habitation of your life, to serve quit notice on every form of infirmities, to allow the divine circumcision of your heart and the breaking of every enchantment of the enemies. He will surely deliver you.

Book excerpt: According to the Holy Scriptures, in the beginning, Adam felt very alone and deeply longed to have a partner like him. God therefore caused him to fall into a deep sleep, took one of his ribs, and fashioned woman from it. Notably, there is no mention in the Holy Bible that he later awoke. In Adams Dream, author Joseph Romanella presents a strong and very compelling argument that Adam, as the universal man (or mind), is still sound asleep and has progressed to dream of humankind as his direct off spring. He believes that with this new revolutionary knowledge gained through Divine Grace, the self-centered mentalities of human beings along with their narrow points of view concerning life and the outside world will also have to undergo corresponding changes. In fact, by comprehending that we are currently living inside of a very realistic fantasy as imaginary personal figures, we are immediately placed in the proper perspective to significantly change the way that we think, feel, perceive, will and behave. As a result, with this Holy Knowledge we are in a position to attract many good things into our earthly lives, not only to prosper us spiritually, but also in every other way. Moreover, with this new light a clearer awareness and a deeper acceptance of Gods Intimate Love for each one of us, automatically arises. And, contrary to popular religious beliefs, we also come to the realization that by faith all of our sins, past, present and future have already been forgiven and we have been empowered to enter into the Glorious Freedom, Rest, Life, Joy, Wisdom, Righteousness and Eternal Embrace of our Heavenly Father, without the need for any good works or sacrifices on our part.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Within the last half-century, early scholarly approaches and analysis of John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress have seen siginificant advances in mandating and enabling a more contextualized view of Bunyan’s oeuvre. Utilizing this fresh examination of context, John Bunyan’s Imaginary Writings in Context explores Bunyan’s writings in a double context: his fictional works vis-à-vis his own non-fictional writings, and his fictional writings in the context of written materials by other authors – books, tracts, spiritual biographies, and poems available to Bunyan. This volumepresents these recent developments by blurring the boundaries between fiction and non-fiction, between literature and history, and in the case of Bunyan, between imaginative literatures in fiction and theological writing. Moreover, this book aims to delineate the imaginary world underlying Bunyan’s fictional writings by viewing Bunyan’s own fictional works in tandem with his non-fiction writings. Simultaneously it situates aspects of Bunyan’s fiction in the context of writings available to him, whether these be Holy Scripture, religious tracts by other authors, or ballads and short texts current in the wider culture of the time.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A revolutionary memoir about domestic abuse by the award-winning author of Her Body and Other Parties In the Dream House is Carmen Maria Machado’s engrossing and wildly innovative account of a relationship gone bad, and a bold dissection of the mechanisms and cultural representations of psychological abuse. Tracing the full arc of a harrowing relationship with a charismatic but volatile woman, Machado struggles to make sense of how what happened to her shaped the person she was becoming. And it’s that struggle that gives the book its original structure: each chapter is driven by its own narrative trope—the haunted house, erotica, the bildungsroman—through which Machado holds the events up to the light and examines them from different angles. She looks back at her religious adolescence, unpacks the stereotype of lesbian relationships as safe and utopian, and widens the view with essayistic explorations of the history and reality of abuse in queer relationships. Machado’s dire narrative is leavened with her characteristic wit, playfulness, and openness to inquiry. She casts a critical eye over legal proceedings, fairy tales, Star Trek, and Disney villains, as well as iconic works of film and fiction. The result is a wrenching, riveting book that explodes our ideas about what a memoir can do and be.

With no father in his life, he was dependent on different men to show him how to be a man. While away in the military, tragedy struck, leaving him to wonder about God and to question his existence. Now he was back at home with a new belief, and he had to face his past. Also, he had to make things right with the one person he left behind. He found himself in a tug-of-war for love. Could she be the woman to lead him back to redemption? Or could she lead to destruction? Would tragedy strike again for Sirr, or would he find a way to escape it?
