Download or read book Canada for Newcomers written by Baran Bilgehan and published by . This book was released on 2018-01-07 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When you do an internet search about Canada, you can easily access a number of sites to get information. We have noticed, as people who came to Canada as immigrants and experienced the country themselves, that these sites contain a lot of information which are inaccurate or out of date. What we observed was that many of them were written without being based on a serious work and without being crosschecked, including many misleading and inapplicable information, and repeating each other in some cases. Another issue that drew our attention on such web sites was that, there were irresponsibly written contents creating pink dreams on the minds of people about Canada, leading these people to come to Canada by taking quick decisions without having comprehensive and realistic information. We even noticed the presence of some sites prepared for the purpose of getting ads or infecting your computer with malicious software. After coming to Canada and experiencing the country ourselves; we have seen that even some sites prepared by certain government agencies are written in a language encouraging potential immigrants excessively, probably as a reflection of the country's immigration policies. We have realized that even some official reports published on different dates addressing issues like demographic structure of labour force in the country or the need for skilled immigrants by cities and regions can be misleading not only for potential immigrants but also for investors and researchers trying to understand Canada through statistics. If we consider the fact that many studies and resources do not take into account the effects of the economic recession of recent years, this finding becomes even more accurate.Because of these reasons, we wanted to describe Canada, which is defined with magic words at almost every site on the web, realistically and without exaggeration. Thus, we started to write down the information about what people, thinking of moving to Canada, might face, in the form of a guide. In doing so, we based what we wrote on real data and examples, without making generalizations from optimistic or pessimistic exceptional cases. We, as immigrants living in this country, aimed at telling you the life in Canada step by step through real examples. Our purpose is to support you in forming your decisions, expectations and budget in a sound way, in both the process of application and preparation. We wanted to provide you with the information that is unpredictable and cannot be found elsewhere, especially for the newcomers and those planning to come.In this e-book, you will find answers to a lot of questions which have already come to your mind or which have not, as you have not arrived in Canada yet. What you read and learn will help you review your own conditions comprehensively. If you are about to make an important decision like applying to Canada as an immigrant, you will make your decision quite consciously, thanks to the information you read here. If you decide to come to this beautiful country, which is one of the most preferred cities in the world for immigration, as a result of your assessments, or if your immigration application have already been approved; throughout the process, you will encounter many changes and you will have to do a lot of things starting from your country and continuing in Canada. Since you will be better prepared for your life in Canada with the help of information provided in this e-book, and will have your questions answered beforehand, you are assured that you will have a comfortable process of settling starting right from the airport. We invite you to find out about your life in Canada and what awaits you there, no matter at what stage you are. Now you can sit back and start to think as if you have been admitted to Canada and continue reading as such.
