This book was released on 2019-03-26 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Brittany is a breed of gun dog that was bred and developed in the Brittany province of France. The breed was originally developed to be a gun dog that was designed to hunt birds. The Brittany breed is believed to have been developed during the 17th century, as this is when they were first depicted on French tapestries. However despite being an old breed, the Brittany was not recognized as a breed until 1907 when an orange and white male was registered in France. The breed is commonly nicknamed the 'Brittany Spaniel.' However despite the common reference to Spaniels, the Brittany's working characteristics are more similar to that of a pointer or setter. As a whole the breed typically has a compact, athletic and solidly built body but without being heavy. They have large floppy ears that hang low on the sides of their heads. The Brittany is also known to have a very intelligent and alert expression. Due to its history as a hunting dog, the Brittany is known to be intelligent, obedient, easy to train, loyal and sweet-natured. It is important to note that the Brittany is more sensitive to human correction than most other breeds - do not use a harsh tone while training it as it will become upset. The Brittany make a perfect household pet as they are energetic, playful and sociable with children and other small animals. It is important to note that if you do not provide your Brittany with adequate exercise it is likely to develop destructive behaviors due to boredom and having an abundance of energy! Before purchasing any pet it is important to understand that as a pet owner you are responsible for the care and wellbeing of your pet. It is important to try and learn as much as you can about the animal you are considering to keep as a pet to make sure that your lifestyle, household and financial status are suited to provide your pet with the best possible care. This guide has been designed to provide you with both precise and concise information about a Brittany's basic needs to help you provide your pet with the best quality care practices. This guide will give an in-depth explanation on training your Brittany, raising your Brittany from a puppy, grooming, health care and everything in between! "The Brittany: A Complete and Comprehensive Owners Guide to: Buying, Owning, Health, Grooming, Training, Obedience, Understanding and Caring for Your Brittany," by Michael Stonewood is the perfect purchase or gift for a first time Affenpinscher owner. This guide includes sections on caring for a puppy, breeding, health care, training, the basic cost of owning an Affenpinscher and much more. This book is the second edition - the first edition was published by 'Dog Care Professionals.'

Book excerpt: LOS ANGELES TIMES BOOK PRIZE FINALIST • NAACP IMAGE AWARD NOMINEE • A “powerful and devastating” (The Washington Post) call to free those buried alive by America’s legal system, and an inspiring true story about unwavering belief in humanity—from a gifted young lawyer and important new voice in the movement to transform the system. “An essential book for our time . . . Brittany K. Barnett is a star.”—Van Jones, CEO of REFORM Alliance, CNN Host, and New York Times bestselling author Brittany K. Barnett was only a law student when she came across the case that would change her life forever—that of Sharanda Jones, single mother, business owner, and, like Brittany, Black daughter of the rural South. A victim of America’s devastating war on drugs, Sharanda had been torn away from her young daughter and was serving a life sentence without parole—for a first-time drug offense. In Sharanda, Brittany saw haunting echoes of her own life, as the daughter of a formerly incarcerated mother. As she studied this case, a system came into focus in which widespread racial injustice forms the core of America’s addiction to incarceration. Moved by Sharanda’s plight, Brittany set to work to gain her freedom. This had never been the plan. Bright and ambitious, Brittany was a successful accountant on her way to a high-powered future in corporate law. But Sharanda’s case opened the door to a harrowing journey through the criminal justice system. By day she moved billion-dollar deals, and by night she worked pro bono to free clients in near hopeless legal battles. Ultimately, her path transformed her understanding of injustice in the courts, of genius languishing behind bars, and the very definition of freedom itself. Brittany’s riveting memoir is at once a coming-of-age story and a powerful evocation of what it takes to bring hope and justice to a system built to resist them both. NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY KIRKUS REVIEWS

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Roll over, Maigret. Commissaire Dupin has arrived."—M.C. Beaton Commissaire Georges Dupin, a cantankerous, Parisian-born caffeine junkie recently relocated from the glamour of Paris to the remote (if picturesque) Breton coast, is dragged from his morning croissant and coffee to the scene of a curious murder. The local village of Pont-Aven—a sleepy community by the sea where everyone knows one other and nothing much seems to happen—is in shock. The legendary ninety-one-year-old hotelier Pierre-Louis Pennec, owner of the Central Hotel, has been found dead. A picture-perfect seaside village that played host to Gaugin in the nineteenth century, Pont-Aven is at the height of its tourist season and is immediately thrown into uproar. As Dupin delves into the lives of the victim and the suspects, he uncovers a web of secrecy and silence that belies the village's quaint image. A delectable read, Jean-Luc Bannalec's Death in Brittany transports readers to the French coast, where you can practically smell the sea air and taste the perfectly cooked steak frites in an expertly crafted, page-turning mystery for fans of Martin Walker.
