The data were analyzed using a blind analysis technique yielding one candidate event with an estimated background of 0.30 ± 0.03 events. Combining this result with the observation of two candidate events by the predecessor experiment E787 gave the branching ratio B(K+-->pi+ nu{ovr {nu}}) = (1.47{sub -0.89}{sup +1.30}) x 10−1°, consistent with the standard model prediction of (0.74 ± 0.20) x 10−1°. This is a more detailed report of results previously published [V.V. Anisimovsky et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 93, 031801 (2004)].

Preliminary measurements of the CP asymmetries are A[sub CP](K[sup +]K[sup -][pi][sup [+-]]) = (1.4 [+-] 1.0(stat.) [+-] 1.1(syst.)) x 10[sup -2], A[sub CP]([phi][pi][sup [+-]]) = (0.2 [+-] 1.5(stat.) [+-] 0.8(syst.)) x 10[sup -2], and A[sub CP](K[sup [+-]][bar K]*[sup 0]) = (0.9 [+-] 1.7(stat.) [+-] 0.8(syst.)) x 10[sup -2]. These results are in agreement with previous published results, with the authors' results in the resonant modes having significantly smaller errors. Further, they obtain a preliminary branching ratio for D[sup +] --> K[sup -]K[sup +][pi][sup +] decays relative to D[sup +] --> K[sup -][pi][sup +][pi][sup +] decays of (10.7 [+-] 0.1(stat.) [+-] 0.2(syst.)) x 10[sup -2]. This result is a significant improvement over previous measurements.

The branching ratio in the full kinematic range was measured to be BR = (3.11 {+-} 0.12) x 10−7, where the uncertainty includes also the model dependence. The shape of the form factor W(z), where z = (M{sub ee}/M{sub K})2, was parameterized according to several models, and, in particular, the slope [delta] of the linear form factor W(z) = W0(1 + [delta]z) was determined to be [delta] = 2.32 {+-} 0.18. A possible CP violating asymmetry of K+ and K− decay widths was investigated, and a conservative upper limit of 2.1 x 10−2 at 90% CL was established.
