From 1973 to 1975, with the support of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Rick Gardner traveled throughout the region, taking photographs of these historic homes. Forms gathered from other sources include a multiple-property description of historic bridges of Texas and two versions of a multiple-resource nomination for the rural area along the San Antonio River, west of Goliad. The nomination forms and reports found in this collection were produced at various stages in the review process, including preliminary review by the Texas Historical Commission, and are not necessarily in their final form.
