Download or read book The Bridge to Growth written by Jude Rake and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2017-07-04 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A recent study revealed that only 21 percent of workers feel engaged and truly committed to their company’s success and goals. They don’t know how their work connects to their company’s goals or understand how they can help achieve them. Leaders have failed to fully engage workers in the development and execution of their company’s mission and goals, and ultimately its journey toward success. Too often, employees are over-managed and under-led. Jude Rake, a business leader with more than 35 years of experience leading high-performance teams, shows how servant leaders—those who serve employees by giving them what they need to fully engage and commit to achieving the company’s goals—use nine proven principles to succeed: Grow leaders and difference makers, not just followers. Build and orchestrate high-performance teams more powerful than the sum of their parts. Focus the organization on strategic priorities, simplify operations, and accelerate progress. Champion the people who purchase and use your products and services. Cultivate a performance-based culture of innovation. Communicate relentlessly. See the world through the eyes of others. Be the model you want emulated. Coach people to achieve more than they thought possible. The Bridge to Growth details how to use these principles to elevate workforce engagement, collaboration, innovation, and accountability to build a bridge from strategy to exceptional execution and results.

Book Synopsis Bridge to Abstract Mathematics by : Ralph W. Oberste-Vorth
Download or read book Bridge to Abstract Mathematics written by Ralph W. Oberste-Vorth and published by American Mathematical Society. This book was released on 2020-02-20 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Bridge to Abstract Mathematics will prepare the mathematical novice to explore the universe of abstract mathematics. Mathematics is a science that concerns theorems that must be proved within the constraints of a logical system of axioms and definitions rather than theories that must be tested, revised, and retested. Readers will learn how to read mathematics beyond popular computational calculus courses. Moreover, readers will learn how to construct their own proofs. The book is intended as the primary text for an introductory course in proving theorems, as well as for self-study or as a reference. Throughout the text, some pieces (usually proofs) are left as exercises. Part V gives hints to help students find good approaches to the exercises. Part I introduces the language of mathematics and the methods of proof. The mathematical content of Parts II through IV were chosen so as not to seriously overlap the standard mathematics major. In Part II, students study sets, functions, equivalence and order relations, and cardinality. Part III concerns algebra. The goal is to prove that the real numbers form the unique, up to isomorphism, ordered field with the least upper bound. In the process, we construct the real numbers starting with the natural numbers. Students will be prepared for an abstract linear algebra or modern algebra course. Part IV studies analysis. Continuity and differentiation are considered in the context of time scales (nonempty, closed subsets of the real numbers). Students will be prepared for advanced calculus and general topology courses. There is a lot of room for instructors to skip and choose topics from among those that are presented.

Book Synopsis A Bridge to Success by : Chuck Miller
Download or read book A Bridge to Success written by Chuck Miller and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2011-02-04 with total page 255 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chuck Miller "After playing on the trumpet the school's fight song, Our Boys Gonna Shine Tonight by ear, they put me in the high school band. It all happened so fast, I was only in the sixth grade." Of all the musicians/teachers to be associated with the instruction of youth in the Omaha community, Chuck Miller was the most influential and the most controversial. Despite his seeming less impossible task of developing the raw unused musical talents of at-risk children and developing them into singers and performers in popular bands, many of the youth taught by him have grown up into productive professional musicians. As a result of his teaching, they have performed all over the world. Few musicians in the Omaha community would seem to have been more deserving of a job well done than Chuck Miller.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Principals want all students to bridge the achievement gap. Sometimes they just don't know how to make it happen. This book looks at what successful principals do to close the achievement gap and move their schools from one that needs improvement to one that is succeeding for all students. With current federal legislation, a principal who does not reach the proficiency mandates on the prescribed timetable ends up with a great deal of second guessing and community outcry. How can a principal avoid that result and instead be recognized as someone who went above and beyond to be sure that all of the students crossed the gap successfully in the right place and at the right time? In this book, the authors provide principals with the 'how' to exit Program Improvement, the 'protocol for success' that professionals in other fields have access to on a daily basis. Principals reading this handbook will have at their fingertips detailed descriptions of the behaviors needed to build success.
