Book excerpt: Sometime around the middle of 1998, during my work with the original Eight Temples Meditation Project, I "discovered" that both the Western Hermetic and Hebrew Tree of Life symbols held within them exactly 230 geometric shapes of a certain nature. Along with this discovery came the realization that these 230 shapes, plus the Tree as a whole, held a direct correlation to the 231 "Gates" mentioned in the Sepher Yetzirah and throughout Kabbalistic literature. So I began drawing these "231 Gates" by hand on paper... And as I drew, I explored...The following couple of years were spent in extensive exploration of all these Gates and eventually in 2002 I published "Book 231" online. At the same time, I created the "32 Paths of Wisdom Tarot" and wrote an article titled "The 32 Paths of Wisdom" which was published in the Autumn 2002 Journal of the Western Mystery Tradition. The main theme of this article was to illustrate the differences between the Western Hermetic and Hebrew versions of the Tree of Life and present the Hebrew Tree in the context of a Western Hermetic path of initiation. And then, in 2005, the "32 Paths of Wisdom" article and Tarot were integrated with the 231 Gates of the Hebrew Tree and I digitally published "The 231 Gates of Initiation" for the first time online. This present edition in paperback differs quite a bit from the 2005 digital edition. First of all, my understanding of the Tree of Life has deepened considerably since 2002, especially my understanding of how and why the planets are attributed to the Hebrew Letters. As a result, some of the planetary attributions have been corrected in this version. Secondly, I have removed 99% of the Hebrew words and substituted their English equivalents in an effort to make the Tree symbol much more accessible.

Book excerpt: This thoroughly revised and updated edition of Adrian Bardon's A Brief History of the Philosophy of Time is a short introduction to the history, philosophy, and science of the study of time--from the pre-Socratic philosophers through Einstein and beyond. Bardon covers subjects such as time and change, the experience of time, physical and metaphysical approaches to the nature of time, the direction of time, time travel, time and freedom of the will, and scientific and philosophical approaches to cosmology and the beginning of time. He employs helpful illustrations and keeps technical language to a minimum in bringing the resources of over 2500 years of philosophy and science to bear on some of humanity's most fundamental and enduring questions.

Book excerpt: The ancient Kabbalists wrote of "permuting the Letters", a process of combining pairs of Hebrew Letters with vowel sounds and uttering them to generate mystical and magical effects. Franz Bardon, in his book The Key to the True Quabbalah, wrote of combining the utterance of letter sounds with the creative imagination of color and feeling, also to generate mystical and magical effects. In this book, I describe a different approach - permuting the Tree itself. This also combines the Letters but instead of speaking the Letters, the practitioner becomes the Letters and thus "utters" them with their whole being. The traditional techniques of permuting the Letters require decades of study as a prerequisite and in Judaic Kabbalah they are the sole purview of men. On the other hand, the technique of Permuting the Tree that I present here is non-exclusive and does not require any foreknowledge of Kabbalistic terminology, philosophy, etc. The only thing required is your creative imagination.I present to you in these pages the Tree of Life stripped of all its jargon and transformed into a truly useable tool, a map of the structure of Being that will easily lead you along a journey into Self. The message of the Tree of Life is that there is One Self and every thing that exists is an aspect of The One Self. Furthermore, the One Self exists equally within each of the infinite number of things that exist. It says that every thing is directly connected through the immanence of the One Self. It says that each thing can find the infinite by merely looking within its own self. And, it says that there is no need for an intermediary, no need to rely upon what someone else sees . . .

Book excerpt: Back Door Into Hermetics is a groundbreaking work on Hermetics and spiritual development, and a spiritual successor to the late mystic Franz Bardon's magnum opus, Initiation Into Hermetics. This book contains a comprehensive description of the metaphysical principles necessary to attain liberation and freedom for one's spirit, and details immediate steps that can be taken in order to accelerate spiritual development. By taking an approach to practicing spiritual exercises as a continuous stream of practice, the reader can gain mastery at an accelerated rate in the areas of personal development, spiritual sensitivity, equilibrium, and self-realization.This monumental volume treats the subject of spiritual development with a comprehensible depth that is too frequently absent from works of this nature. While other books and teachers might lay the groundwork for taking the first step of the journey, Back Door Into Hermetics draws upon much-coveted, 'closed-door' insider's information in order to provide a map toward the ultimate destination.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a deeper look into the magical use of the tepaphone, magic mirrors, magical dolls and living pictures for the students of magic. In the legends of magic there are many stories of magical tools that were used by witches and wizards. The number of tools mentioned is vast and would fill the garage of any modern-day magician to the full. This book is part of the Franz Bardon series and the magical tools covered in it are those specifically referred to in detail by Franz Bardon. What makes the book special is that it also provide readers with insights to related practices as described by those who influenced Bardon or were his peers. The tepaphone is a magical instrument used to transmit magical vibrations over distances. Although feared for its use in magical attacks, this book indicates its potential use for healing and doing good. The book describes its working and construction in detail. The use of magic mirrors for purposes of ritual magic has, up to now, been scarcely recommended in books on magic, as initiates have kept it a great secret. It is a very powerful magical tool that Bardon used as a great instrument of communication and to "look in on friends".The use of magic dolls and magic pictures is a long lost art in magical circles and this book provides a unique description of their construction and use. Finally it is pointed out that the book emphasise the fact that the use of these tools are dependent on the magical ability of its operator and creator. The book therefore contain the basic exercises needed to develop the required skills.

Book excerpt: For the first time (hermetically) charged mantrams are revealed here, which promise pervasive successes with the necessary maturity, balance, and purity. After all, according to Bardon, mantrams are not just any suggestion sentences, but they are expressions of ideas with which one can work and come into contact with powers, forces, qualities, that is, deities after ardently practicing mantrams. At the same time, the associated seal marks of the divine ideas are revealed, which stand in a ritual connected with the mantrams. A book that will inspire not only hermeticists but also yoga scholars! However, the practitioner may be forewarned. The practice of some mantrams may consume many hours of concentration and repetition of a single Mantram before any success is noticed. Included are: - Bardon's Mimicry Formula for Healing - Seila Orienta's description of the complete St. John's Evocation as mentioned in Frabato.
