Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Experiment at Philadelphia Did Einstein discover God? If God created all things, then who Created God? What Was and Happened Before the Big-Bang. The Philadelphia Experiment was Einsteins experiment in which he had not only discovered, in 1943, the way to make things invisible and transport them at great speeds but also positively proven scientifically, physically, and spiritually that the Almighty God exists! He had literally discovered God! That question, is there a god? Thats been going through peoples minds for so long, was discussed on the street corner, talked about on the porch on a hot summers night, and is now a proven fact. Yes, there is a god! Did Einstein in the Philadelphia Experiment make contact with UFO beings, who gave him advance knowledge of all things, which Einstein later destroyed, fearing what the world would do with that knowledge? Are the first fourteen chapters of this book about the advance knowledge Einstein received? Does it reveal the deepest, darkest secrets of God and Satan and how the universe works? Does it answer these questions? Many have asked since the beginning of the world: Which is known as the mystery of God? Why am I here? Whats the true meaning of life? How was everything created? Who are God and the devil? If God created all, who created God? If he is the first in creation, where and how did he come into existence? Why does God allow evil in the world? Why do good things happen to bad people and bad things to good people? Whyif we all came from Adam and Eve, who were Jewishare there Gentiles? Are Gentiles children of devils? Is that why the Jews are Gods chosen race? Why in the Garden of Eden was the knowledge of good on the tree forbidden? How old is the earth? Why is God known as the Trinity? Why have religions, down through the ages, done such evil? What, when, and how did the big bang start? What happened to Satan? Who is he really, and what did he do in the past? What are his beliefs and ways? What is he and God literally made of? What is the meaning of the great pyramids and the sphinx? Is there scientific proof that God exists? Read this whole book for the answers to all these tough questions, and be sure to read the introduction first before reading the rest of this book. It will help you better understand this whole book.

This book was released on 2018-03-01 with total page 505 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Historical and Archaeological Perspectives on the Itzas of Petén, Guatemala is the first exhaustively detailed and thorough account of the Itzas—a Maya group that dominated much of the western lowland area of tropical forest, swamps, and grasslands in Petén, Guatemala. Examining archaeological and historical evidence, Prudence Rice and Don Rice present a theoretical perspective on the Itzas’ origins and an overview of the social, political, linguistic, and environmental history of the area; explain the Spanish view of the Itzas during the Conquest; and explore the material culture of the Itzas as it has been revealed in recent surveys and excavations. The long but fragmented history of the Petén Itzas requires investigation across multiple periods and regions. Chapters in this six-part overview interweave varying data pertaining to this group—archaeological, artifactual, indigenous textual, Spanish historical—from multiple languages and academic fields, such as anthropology, archaeology, linguistics, ecology, and history. Part I introduces the lowland Itzas, northern and southern, with an emphasis on those of the central Petén lakes area. Part II discusses general Itza origins and identities in the Epiclassic period, while part III reviews Spanish perceptions and misconceptions of the Petén Itzas in their Contact-period writings. With these temporal anchors, parts IV and V present the archaeology and artifacts of the Petén Itzas, including pottery, architecture, and arrow points, from varied sites and excavations but primarily focusing on the island capital of Tayza/Nojpetén. Part VI summarizes key data and themes of the preceding chapters for a new understanding of the Petén Itzas. A companion volume to The Kowoj—a similar treatment of the Petén Itzas’ regional neighbors—Historical and Archaeological Perspectives on the Itzas of Petén, Guatemala demonstrates the unique physical, cultural, and social framework that was home to the Petén Itza, along with their backstory in northern Yucatán. Archaeologists, historians, art historians, and geographers who specialize in the Maya and the Postclassic, Contact, and Colonial periods will find this book of particular interest. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Diversity is a buzzword of our times and yet the extent of religious diversity in Western societies is generally misconceived. This ground-breaking research draws attention to the journey of one migrant religious institution in an era of religious superdiversity. Based on a sociolinguistic ethnography in a Tamil Saivite temple in Australia, the book explores the challenges for the institution in maintaining its linguistic and cultural identity in a new context. The temple is faced with catering for devotees of diverse ethnicities, languages, and religious interpretations; not to mention divergent views between different generations of migrants who share ethnicity and language. At the same time, core members of the temple seek to continue religious and cultural practices according to the traditions of their homelands in Sri Lanka, a country where their identity and language has been under threat. The study offers a rich picture of changing language practices in a diasporic religious institution. Perera inspects language ideology considerations in the design of institutional language policy and how such policy manifests in language use in the temple spaces. This includes the temple’s Sunday school where heritage language and religion interplay in second-generation migrant adolescents’ identifications and discourse.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How did a region, so long notorious for mere quantity, transform itself into one of the world’s most exciting vineyards? And what does it take to make a great wine – even on a shoestring? In Virgile’s Vineyard, Patrick Moon explores the world of Languedoc wine. Among the cast of characters that Patrick meets during his year of discovery is Virgile, a young local wine-maker who offers to initiate him into the mysteries of each season’s work in the fields and in the cellar. Virgile is passionately committed to perfection, even though his limited means afford him just a handful of hectares and the smallest cellar imaginable. At the other extreme is Manu, Patrick’s dipsomaniac neighbour, a diehard traditionalist producing a private wine-lake of unspeakable rouge. With Manu as his self-appointed guide, Patrick embarks on a quest for the revolution’s leading lights – a succession of lively encounters with growers as diverse as the wines themselves – interwoven with entertaining digressions into the history of the region’s wine-making. Meanwhile the author struggles to deal with his long-neglected French home – an unfamiliar and unpredictable world where the brambles have grown as tall as the olive trees, the water supply has just dried up and there is a ferocious animal under the roof tiles...First published in 2003, Virgile’s Vineyard is now back by popular demand as a new and extended edition. As rich in humour as it is full of fascinating information, this book is a great read for any Francophile or wine-lover.
